Come to think of it, we don't see much of Equus goods in used condition, am curious how these beautiful products age with use and the marks the owners put on them.

On this topic, here's a photo for last week. One of our more specialist belts, this is 6mm thick Undyed oak bark tanned bridle leather from J&FJ Baker in Devon (the very bottom of England). It makes an amazing denim belt and builds a wonderful patina as it ages and will literally outlast either the jeans or the owner. I use a Scott belt for the same purpose for a slightly quieter look but the Russet looks amazing after a few years.

A couple of photos from today

Our Notebook cover, this is an updated photo showing the new design of the tab closure. We've been playing with it a little to get the proportion and form just right, also a picture of the twin pen loops, made to keep the pen mounted centrally even if its smaller than the loops. You can see the green goatskin we line the main body of the inside, plus the tab, strap and pen loops with. We've been doing a lot of these recently for customers own choices of notebooks which is always fun as a fan of nice stationary!

and just for fun, here's a photo of the finally attached lock and hasp on the current briefcase we're working on. Personally I love the subtle contrast of the copper and brass - we also do solid brass throughout and palladium
