I am hoping to add a music case to my collection. Hopefully, you've received my email. Thank you.
Cool, that would certainly be a nice addition to the collection! I haven’t seen the email yet but Dawn and I are on holiday this week so I’ll see it shortly. Look out for a reply :)

Love the Ostrich wallet. The wallet has a nice design that lends itself well to the leather choice.

Following the trend, I also want to share images and a small anecdote of my beloved Lloyd Card Case.

It is now ~4 years old and has aged beautifully. Within those 4 years, there were several occasions where I thought I had lost it. In those situations it has never been the lost money or the hassle of applying for new cards that I worried about, but rather the Card Case itself. It has aged so gracefully and became so personal that it now feels like a faithful companion.

May it accompany me for another x years.

Thanks for posting that! Once again, isnt it looking good! I think this has a Baranil outer? I love the way the grain flattens and burnishes as its used

Whenever Im selecting leathers one of the key things Im thinking about is how the leather will age. Not just how long will it last, because any decent leather will last a long time, but Im trying to pick leathers that do exactly what your wallet and the belt above do, get better with age. You can never fully test this characteristic or fake age so I love seeing older products that have been used like these, lovely to see the way the leather literally becoming an old friend with time.

My Landrover was stolen I think 4 years ago now. The thing that still wrinkles is the leathergoods Id made for myself that were stolen with it. Thats really what we're trying to do, make things whose loss would be mourned..

Thank you again for the lovely photos!

Hi All,

This is the next briefcase in our collection. Some of you will have already seen some photos of this as we were designed it. It's a smaller more minimal briefcase, vs the full size 3 gusset traditional model

The Equus Minimal Briefcase

Bakers Oak Bark Bridle and hand stitched throughout as ever! This one starts at £1500 ex VAT

I just received a wonderful package from Equus and wanted to post here to thank them for the fine work. A few months ago my daughter got a puppy and we ordered a lead and collar for her as a gift. The collar was a little large so the puppy could grow into it, but that meant the tail was a bit long and Dawn suggested that I send it back so they could add an extra keeper. Before I could, the puppy managed to find the end and, as puppies do, chew through it. Fortunately, it was just the end that was eaten so I sent it back for repair. Here it is today with the end cleaned up and an extra keeper installed.

if you know what to look for, you can see what was done to the tip, but it looks great.
Since I was sending the collar back, I also sent along the first two belts I had ordered back in 2011. The pandemic had accelerated the weight loss I had been experiencing over the past few years and the belts were loose, even at the tightest setting. So Charlie and Dawn added a new hole and extra keepers to deal with the now longer tail. They also conditioned the belts and repaired the frayed stitching. Here is someone else's six year old Russet, recently posted.

The Russet belt was originally close to a pale cream color, but that was 11 years ago. You can get a sense of the change by looking at the added keeper, but I suspect that is actually London Tan which, while a lighter shade, is closer to where the belt is now but a ways from the original Russet. Similar work was done on the Australian Nut belt but no need for photos.

Thank you very much for the lovely write up! As ever we're pleased to help and especially pleased to see and maintain our older stuff. I dont shout about sustainability a lot, but this is how sustainability should be done in my view - make good stuff that lasts for years and then maintain it so it lasts even longer. Very satisfying :)

You're absolutely correct about the keeper being London Tan. Its always hard to match aged leather and this will have been the closest match. Its the same leather, just with a touch more colour and will age in the same way as the original Russet.

Thanks again for the photos that are popping up everyone, much appreiated

Charlie
