    Hi Guys,

We've started to play with Pinterest a little, I thought some here might be interested. We've accumulated a lot of photos of our work and workshop stuff while we've been renewing the website (I love photos!) and Pintrest seems a great place to collect them together in an easy to browse through format. Its very much a work in progress and we'll keep building it up but the page is here

Pintrest actually seems rather good I have to say. If you like good photos, and I suspect a lot here do, its a great place to find nice photos of the things you like. I'm not necessarily into social media for its own sake but the visual aspect is quite compelling

    Hi All,

Good news! Our latest batch of Wakugi buckles have been completed and are on their way to us from Japan so will arrive next week. For those who missed it these are individually hand forged for us in Japan from the famous black iron architectural nails. Ive updated the website so they can be ordered again - there are only half a dozen buckles so I don't suppose they'll last long, the first batch we commissioned of 3 had sold within 24 hours!

How durable are the goatskin straps?

They won't last in quite the same way as the bridle leather straps will but will be stronger than an equivalent thickness calf strap. Goat is particularly able to be thinned down and keep its strength, its why its used for small leather goods. The leathers are fully aniline so they will patinate, in particular the lighter colours like the Tangerine. I wore the prototype Tangerine strap for quite a while and was surprised how well it stood up to use. I tend to wear a watch 24/7 including in the workshop so am really not kind to straps.

I hope thats some help - very happy to send samples as ever

Just placed an order for 3 belts! The 20 belts in my collection isn't getting enough rotation already but gotta have that racing green and aussy nut [IMG]

Would the Wakugi be offered with anything else other than the Russet? It's the one leather I cannot get due to the unfinished edges. They aren't so kind to my worn jean belt loops.

    :) many thanks!

More than happy to make the Wakugi with a leather of your choice. I was thinking the other day that the Bakers London Tan would be a really nice contrast with the black iron

Charlie, just noticed they are only 1.5" wide which is quite wide. Any possibility of having a narrower Wakugi buckle?

    Hi Riva,

Not at the moment, the guy that makes them has only developed his pattern in c. 1 1/2". Sorry! The Damascus buckles that are coming from Japan are going to be in 1 1/4" though if that jlps

I was told around 6 weeks about 2 weeks ago, they're pretty time consuming things though so I expect a certain amount of variance. Id have thought towards the end of June, but hopefully we'll be pleasantly surprised!
