How about eggant colour for the belts? It's a popular shoe colour among styleforum members it seems.

If we could source quality leather in we'd be happy to use it. Bridle leather has a fairly narrow number of colour choices on the whole, much more so than calf tends to, so for our bridle leather ranges we're limited by what our tanneries make. Id have thought our Burgundy might be usefully close though?

Dawn/Charlie - any upcoming colours that would be a good match for C&J chestnut? The Baker's Aus nut that I have isn't bad (in fact, the variegation in colour actually makes it quite versatile for a variety of brown shoes) from a distance but is noticeably darker.

I love the brouging! I don't know if you've looked at our Oxford Tan? Thats pretty close thought it might be a touch lighter than some of the patinated areas? Very happy to send samples if it would help? Charlie

A photo might be more helpful! Its interesting to note (to me at least!) that the colour of the shoes is actually fairly light but the patina C&J applied makes the shoe much darker - seems to be the way with a lot of shoes now, I bet they spend a lot of time with a polishing wheel to get the effect. Thanks for the photo Charlie; the patination on the shoes is a bit more organic - I've just worn them a ton a polished them regularly. I was looking through the leather samples and Oxford Tan was close but a little light. Is it your experience that it darkens with wear?

They are beautifully cared for then, they look brand new!

The Oxford Tan will darken and patinate rather as the shoes will. It'll take a little while, belts don't get that much exposure to UV and weather but it will happen.

Some photos for you all. This is a prototype damascus buckle just received from Japan. Completely hand made for us by a master knife maker. I like it, its unusual, genuinely unique as every buckle has its own damascus patterns and rather subtle. We've wanted a damascus buckle for ages, hopefully we've found one!

I like it. What's the upcharge for one? And what widths will you be offering?
