Mmm looking to get some Suede belts soon. Anyone got some more pictures? A bit limited on the site.

Also are generally speaking the square and shouldered buckles casual? Like the Kensington. I quite like it it's nice mordern and not too outlandish, but I kind of want it with a black belt to be worn with a suit, would a different buckle be better? I don't know much about belts tbh not that much talk about them on the forums.

I think it depends on the specifics of the buckle more than the general shape. The Kenisngton is potentially quite formal, its very rectangular but also slim, neat lines. The Stainless Steel West End Roller is also rectangular but a bit less angular and definitley chunkier so to me less formal. Its very much personal taste though. If it helps lots of people use the West End as a formal belt, its a lovely buckle and pretty unobtrusive.

    Hope that helps!

    Hi All,

A quick photos for you. This is the Pinewood in London Tan stitched with Royal Blue Lin Cable. Interesting contrast - quite striking together.

    Hi Guys

The Month Two photos of our natural calf watch strap photos are in and are on our blog here. As you'd expect no dramatic changes as yet but its gone a pleasing cafe au lait, to qoute its tester. We've decided on a care regime of Saphir Renovature for it.

In other news the first of the Metta Catherina straps is with its owner, looking pretty good on a vintage Omega :)

What does one of those straps cost? I am a little scared to ask.

They are £300 (+ VAT for us EUites). I think the production run is sold out now though sadly, we have a very limited amount of leather and it was reserved very quickly. I'm very happy to put people down on a reserve list though, I have assumed much more wastage of leather than I hope there will be so theres a chance we may be able to make a couple more than I estimated :)

I think that would cost a little more than my current watch if my exchange math is correct :). So will just have to oggle online for now.

Got to be the most legendary watch strap being sold right now anywhere in the world. So much history of the leather... I'd be interested if you ever offer another run.

Thats kind of you to say, thank you. In all honesty I doubt we will be able to source more, its been a struggle to get this much and of course theres only a finite quantity in existence. I currently have a guy out in Europe looking at some more one off leathers for us so I imagine there may be more special editions coming up. Hard to compete with the reindeer for prevenance though :)

got my sample pack today, very happy i took the time to get some samples, much better insight into the colours and want i really need. dark havana really almost looks black (to my eyes at least) and burgundy and australian nut are also increidly close for me (again maybe its just me). i think i will end up with the nut and hazel, might change hazel to oxford tan

now on to decisions on buckles

You cant beat seeing something in the flesh! As you say the Dark Havanna is dark, we describe it as the colour of Bendicks Bittermints, very dark brown but its a interesting colour that reacts to the lighting conditions. Australian Nut and Burgundy are cousins, the Burgundy is really a rich brown and definitely not an Oxblood, nontheless a really nice colour. Its a really good match with some Horween leather. The colours all have a lot of subtlety and character and a lot of them have origins going back hundreds of years, Sedgwicks are doing a good job preserving them, though I do wish we could source an Oxblood!

Just wanted to share, absolutely outstanding Oxford Tan West End, satin brass buckle, 7 holes spaced 3/4".

I do have to mention there is some odd rubbing on the stitching (on what would be the lower right corner in this photo). The thread is wearing down after a few months of wear. That's my only concern thus far, otherwise, I could not imagine a nicer strip of cow hide to hold my trousers up.
