I do like the idea of a split toe and or single monk would be pretty sweet.

I saw this and thought maybe even a loafer would be kinda cool:

I saw those on the Armoury blog and would love to have a pair but not sure I want shell.

I imagine this in Ruby would be ridiculously amazing but perhaps too aggressive. Not sure.

    6. For the bal shortwing, Betty actually told me that they don't typically use black shell cordovan. They definitely don't have any in stock, and I'm not sure what the lead time for it would be. If we do the calf/scotch combo, are you leaning towards more of a casual bent? Kind of like the Faulkner in a bal shape? We could do it with a flat welt & dainite sole. It would still be very wearable as a dress shoe, but could work well for lousy holiday weather too.

Personally I would prefer a shape a little dressier than the Faulkner or Steinbeck boot personally...

I'm very interested in the Ruby shell. Agree that something that's not too wild will let the shell it self shine most. Personally, I prefer something on the Forest last, though I'm also game for the Robert, I think.

Could do a loafer as well. I'd be a little worried about figuring out the sizing for this, though.

+1 I missed out on all the other bal boots, I'd definitely be in for this.

I like the idea of keeping it slightly on the dressier side while still useful as a foul weather boot /w the danite sole.

Agree...while the Faulkner and Steinbeck or nice boots, I don't wear casual clothes that often which is why I ordered the black scotchgrain boot. I have a pair of the Ralph Lauren/AE longwing for when I want to wear a chunky shoe with jeans.

I don't think those are wingtips. To my eyes, they are captoe balmoral with minimal broquing. They're beautiful boots, but not wingtips.

And it would probably cut down the number of pairs we'd be able to get to ~8 (maybe even less), considering the extra leather used.
I'm also down for Forest. I have no experience at all with Robert, but it looks like a pleasant last from the few Armoury photos I've found. A loafer could be good, but I think I wouldn't wear it enough to enjoy the shell.
Quite frankly, I doubt that such a similar model will get made, considering that the cap toe pairs aren't even set to ship out for a few more weeks.

You're absolutely right but the poster meant "I'd like to get this but with a wingtip instead of the punched captoe".

Mike, I'm down for the Brown Calf/Suede Jodphur boots for November delivery. Would it come with lasted boot tree or no? Forest last sounds fine to me.
