I'll update the OP with FCs links and pics of the proposed boot makeups.
I would prefer a loafer with no tie or tassels.
For the shoe folks, can we revise the voting to include the austerity brogue and eliminate other options that haven't been well received? Seems that a shortwing seems popular and the austerity brogue may appeal to folks. And then recirculate?
Just a note, Mike is likely to continue to do a shortwing considering how popular it is. And he is likely to switch it up and keep it in stock pretty frequently. For these custom makeups, we really should strive for something really unique or off the beaten path (but obviously versatile). Something that other shoemakers aren't really doing. The austerity brogue definitely seems to fit that bill particularly in a suede.

Agree!! Many thanks!
god i wish i could get on this ... too much skin in the game
cant wait to see the results guys
Thanks again for setting this up, this spreadsheet is a huge asset!
Okay, It seems like the Balmoral boot is coming along the fastest. And the "Robert" last is the most popular. I'm going to contact Carmina today and determine what sizing is available on that last.
I'll also ask on the availability of Chestnut vs Saddle Shell Cordovan - as one color being ready for Spring delivery vs the other might swing the decision towards it.
Regarding the sole, we've got a majority for leather and a few for Dainite. We can cross that bridge when we get to it, but I'd suggest going for a leather one to keep it as dressy and versatile as possible. I'm planning some Dainite makeups with Carmina this year, but I'll probably match them with less expensive skins like waxhide or scotch grain.
I'll check in on this once I hear back.
Great suggestion from Cuttingboard and point from CHRK33. The shortwing and double monks are far and away our best sellers, so I'm already planning to do plenty of makeups in those shapes. And if you're a wide/narrow/extended size we can tack on a pair for you onto our reorders.
A bal austerity brogue is something really cool that I'm not likely to make up as stock, and it's a style that Carmina does really well. Pricing should be good too - in calf or suede I'd estimate that this would come in around $525.
Following this thread and participating in these makeups is a real pleasure for me - you guys have excellent taste in shoes!
Frank, great job with the organization. I owe you a beer.
And while I'm not sure that the Jodhpur is my style exactly, I have to say that I think I am on my way across neutral ground and into the dark blue cordovan camp. Will have to see about some of that some day.
Are you planning to reorder the double monk in calf, shell, or both?
There's been no traffic on this thread for a couple days...any updates?
wrong thread, oops, sorry.
Results Update for the Jodhpur:
On the last for the Jodhpur, remember that the photo we've been working from is on the Rain last, according to Mike. We didn't figure that out until after results started coming in for this form. So if you want the boot to look like the one pictured, then Rain is it.
Results Update for the Balmoral Boot:
I think we're waiting for Mike for sizing details, including the widths available in the Rain and Robert lasts. Also, on the shell color availability for the balmoral boot, with the idea that one color may be stocked and make the MTO move along faster, if we choose.
^ great stuff. could you also run a projection of sales for the next two quarters? my boss has been nagging me for.ever.
+1 to the Rain last for the Navy Jodphur. Make it raaaain
