Pastor - Yes from last week. Any day now my friend.
Should be in early next week. The shoes were still in customs as of Friday afternoon, so I'm hoping for Tues-Wednesday. I'll let you guys know immediately after they arrive. Can't wait to see them too!
Not outside of the ones we special ordered, but we can certainly come up with some new styles for the spring. Snuff suede anyone?
Beautiful shoe. We could so something like that in navy suede too.
And I came across this photo online. What do you guys think about a two-tone Austerity Brogue? I'm sure that we could swing this without the perfs. Maybe a brown combo? Could be very boss in black too, and a nice way to make up a non-traditional but very wearable black shoe.
That sounds promising - snuff suede with a storm welt would be a nice makeup.
Any news on the navy shell double monks? Wanting to get some wear in them before it's slush season. Unfortunately, with a few exceptions most of my upcoming biz travel will be in colder climes. Thanks
Mike what color options do we have for suede?
something says if there was an orangish shade of suede that would be sweeeeeeet
I think snuff suede is incredibly versatile and would love to have a monkstrap and/or a three-eyelet chukka boot in snuff suede, with a floating medallion (preferred) or a toe cap. This style, if Carmina could do an elastic-gusset loafer, would rock in snuff suede:
An austerity brogue like this in almost any two similar, slightly contrasting leathers would be great! I've seen shoes like this (with punching) in brown calfskin/pebble grain (as in the photo?), brown calfskin/suede, Edward Green's dark oak calfskin/chestnut pebble grain, and burgundy calfskin/suede. Any of these would work really well for an austerity brogue. Could Carmina do navy calfskin/navy stingray? Would others be interested? I'm intrigued by navy stingray shoes, but they really are special-purpose shoes. IMO, a make-up in the two-tone model you show would make the stingray more discreet and the shoes more versatile.
The only swatches that I have are the typical ones: snuff, tan, chocolate, grey, navy.
But I'd say that nearly any color of suede can be sourced. They work with French tanneries and do quite a bit of womens footwear in colorful suedes, so I'm sure that they would have access to an orange. If you guys find a pic of a shoe made up in an aggressive suede color, just shoot it over and I can find out if we can make it.
Still haven't heard back, but our delivery is coming on Tues-Wed, so I'll know shortly if they're in there. Sorry for the delay on those.
At the moment, I don't believe that they're working with Stingray. The only exotics that I've seen are croco, gator, lizard, and python.
I need a black wing tip and would be interested in a black wing tip MTO! I was going to order the Carmina black wing tip from the Armoury once I received the scotch grain boot but will wait to see what you guys come up with.
Hey Mike, assuming that you can get the Ruby together, do you think we could shoot for that Ruby Austerity bal boot in the near future? I love that idea, and would hate for it to fall through the cracks of this thread.
Oh no, it won't fall through the cracks, believe me. I think that the best route is once we have the sample of the Austerity bal boot, we'll narrow it down to a few color to realistically do. We need 6 ppl per color, so we'll have to see what guys really want to sign on to. But Ruby will definitely be an option, and given how popular it was for the perf captoe, I'm sure that it will go into production.
Cool! I'll do a photoshop workover of that shoe in black I think that would make for a very cool item.
Not to beat a dead horse, but I'd probably be on board for a ruby cordo bal boot...if available in wide.
Black calf and #8 shell.
Holy crap that could look good. I'm sitting here looking at that makeup thinking to myself, "Yea, I'll pass on that." But I could see that making up amazingly.
