Quick fit pic from Instagram. The customer paired some classic grey flannel Epaulet trousers with the most gloriously insane orange tweed Brooks jacket ever. Look at that super high 3-roll-2 stance!!

Oh also a few other notes:

1) We're offering the $369 promotion on 3 oxford shirts until tomorrow (Sunday). It's a GREAT deal for three custom American-made shirts. There's quite a few fabrics to choose from, the only limitation is that you need to style all three with the same details. Timing is great as we'll be able to ship these around mid May.

2) I'm going to relaunch our Rivet Chino short project tomorrow. We've still got good inventory in the five colors of Nylon/Cotton fabric, and it's a perfect item for the Summer. Last year's short was a little tight, so we tweaked the pattern to have an extra inch in the waist and half inch in the thigh. Fit will be more consistent for everyone, so you can comfortably order your usual size. This cloth is awesome for the Summer, it's tough as hell, and it hang dries in no time.

3) I took a little trip with my partner to Mexico, so I'll be mostly off until Wednesday, but you can hit Ming at custom[at]epauletbrand.com if you have anything urgent. I'll work to catch up on everything right after I return, including shipping out orders.

It's gorgeous here but also insanely humid. Despite my best efforts, my hair pretty much looks like Tina Turner's in "Beyond Thunderdome." We visited this beautiful "cenote" natural lake earlier today...

4) Rest in Power to DMX. I know that quite a lot of us are fans of his music..

In on the shirts (grey, pink, white) and khaki shorts—looking forward to the new specs on those.

if I can’t get an exchange can I get a refund for my order.

You guys stopped replying to the pm’s and supposedly were going to send out the short gunmetal pair for me to try out.

I understand if you guys are busy, the refund will suffice.

@Epaulet hi eva, would you consider making surgical caps from some of your rad, insanely beautiful, and awesome fabric? maybe with some leftover fabric from your projects? i can totally imagine myself wearing a linen or wool-blend surgical cap. i'd even give the sashiko a shot.

@CalTex totally my fault.. I found a gorgeous pair of natural herringbone Wilhelms that are both your size and should be the correct length. That way we can size you with them AND you might actually dig them in their own right. We'll get those sent your way on Thursday

Thank you so much @DapperDan08 ... you're gonna love it!!!

@doctorman oh totally, I'd love to!! I think that the Sashiko would be too thick, but plenty of our chambrays and mid-weight fabrics would be awesome. Is there a specific model or shape that you really like? We have quite a few surgeons as customers and my partner is a Pulmonologist, so I'm absolutely down with this idea.

there are generally two types of surgical caps. the skull cap, for people with shorter hair which closes in the back and the bouffant cap, for people with longer hair, which has elastic band all around. with COVID, i've seen more prevalent use of surgical caps throughout the hospital, even for people not working in the OR. i suppose it seemingly reduces the chance of the virus being trapped in hair.

your partner will probably give you more ideas. it's easy to make a cap but to make a well-fitting one with top notch material is entirely another level.

the sashiko comment was a bit of a joke, although i love the fabric and the novelty of it being made into a surgical cap. i'll do just one case in it. i'll take a picture, i promise.

Oh yeah, she's been doing the bouffant cap throughout COVID. Me having to wear a surgical mask at the gym is nothing, compared to her having to spend the entire day in full protective gear. Huge thanks to you and all of the other health care workers on here!!

I'll take a look at the skull cap design, should be totally possible to do. Fabrics like the Yoshiwa Triple Weave chambray would lend themselves really nicely to that.

@Epaulet

Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately, the natural color will not work.

I’ll try the gunmetal.

Thanks for reaching out guys, and I'm sorry for the missed responses. We just received our very first RTC box a few days ago and I've got more stuff en route. Everything is coming together there, so let's get your orders sorted and made. I'll drop you PM's right now.

That cat is your Ride or Die.. for real

Yes, and I'm so sorry that those were never made. We moved all of these orders to Hertling along with the current round. They're going to make trousers in the overall Wilhelm shape to fill these. Should come through in about a month with all of the other Hertling pieces.

@CalTex all sorted out!
