Absolutely. I don't imagine that we'll make any more of these in the near future as delivery now is going to be October-November, but we'll surely bring them out in full force for next Spring. Definitely in sand too. Not these. Moccasin and Goodyear Welt construction are two different things. Moc's are softer and significantly less expensive than goodyear welts. They mold to your foot more quickly and lend themselves wonderfully to loafers like this. But the tradeoff is that they're less durable. A cobber can certainly repair or resole these easily, and it costs less than a goodyear welt resole. That said, goodyear welts can be resoled and repaired many times, while you'd probably only do it a few times for moc's. Construction-wise, these are the same basic make as leather-soled loafers from Quoddy, Rancourt, Oak Street, Yuketen, and our own former Sewn By Hand line. But we made those changes to ensure that these would be longer wearing and more comfortable. For anyone who owns a loafer from one of those other brands, I'm confident that you'll be delighted with these. These were the handsewns that I always dreamed of offering.
