Hot today, so madras:
Great combination. Deets on the cardi?
Nice shirt, and the lighting and shadows in this photo are great.
Keith: It's a J. Crew cardigan that I got on sale for around $20-30 2 years or so ago. I've most definitely got my money out of it!
I think I will go pick up a Canon S100 from Best Buy tomorrow. It's on sale now and the matte black looks nice.
Any chance of some new knits soon or restocks? Might be heating up over in the US, but it's been quite chilly lately down here in Aus...
Waiting for mine to arrive. Dis gon b gud.
I asked about the material before so forgive the repitition but is the epaulet pindot shirt a different tone than the gitman indigo pindot? They look slightly off in pictures but it could simply be lighting.
they are identical. the greycast indigo chambray is the same
I have owned both (had to return the gitman as it was too small), and I cannot notice a difference between the two in terms of the fabric.
The shirt is amazing. Today is actually the first time I've worn it. Getting a lot of attention in the office!
I'm going to throw out another noob question. What can you guys say about natural chromexcel shoes in terms of versatility, where does it stand compared to, say, good old brown calfskin. I guess it also darkens with wear, I wonder does it make it more, um, compatible
On a slightly offtopic note, Keith, any axes apart from SG and LP? I actually own a 7-string Music Man John Petrucci signature. I'd love to shoot some fit pics featuring it, but I'm not even beginning to believe I'd be able to catch its gorgeous red burst on a shitty phone camera (especially in poor lighting conditions)
The reason they look slightly different is because the Gitman shirt is pre-washed and ours is not. It is indeed the same fabric.
Haha perfect answer(s), thanks for that, will order tonight
Edited for plural, thanks for response guys
I concur, the shirt is down right SICK. It is so comfortable and good looking you will have to run away to keep woman off of you
I have been eyeing the Tapered Rudy Trouser Cotton Seersucker Grey on SALE, but I am normally a Walt man. Has anyone successfully made this work--i.e., gotten a Rudy because of limited stock or a sale and made them fit like a Walt? To do this I am thinking of getting the 30, normally I am a 32 and getting them let out in the waist. Please let me know if anyone has had experience doing this.
This should be no issue to a competent tailor. It's basically recutting the pants. They can either copy the pants to the Walt trousers you already have or have you wear the pants and use pins to clip the extra fabric that will be trimmed off.
I never attempted this on a Rudy. I'm usually a size 31 and I buy a 32 in Walt so it's kind of the same thing. I get the waist taken in, seat taken in, and legs tapered.
