Right after I posted the question, Groupon sent an offer for a ConAir steamer for $49 including shipping. I had $10 in Groupon bucks, so only $39 to my door. Nice!

Let us know how this steamer works out for you, Scott. Not doubting Mike's advice, but I sort of wonder: If I'm too lazy to iron, am I also too lazy to steam?

You know who's not lazy? The Epaulet crew. Not only are they posting a steady stream of great new stuff, but they are really on the ball and providing an outstanding service experience to go with great stuff. Kudos to everyone who is working hard to get these packages put together and shipped out so fast.

(not my office--mine is way smaller and messier)

love it all. need to run the blazer past my tailor just to see if any nips or tucks are needed, but i was too excited to get it so i had to just wear it. i am really impressed by the fabric and construction.

blazer almost looks too small, but it might just be your stance in that first photo -- either way I don't think it needs to be altered.

contrast with the pearl flannels is nice.

hrmmm. shoulders seem basically right to me, but i agree there is some tugging going on. It's the XL version, so it's as long as they could do. Hope I didn't need a 40....

edit: another shot straight on so you can get another perspective:

Only had the one sample in, indigo, lets just say I'm ordering it, and impatiently waiting. Its sick. Imagine royal blue and navy had a kid, and then covered him in canvas. Its a touch heavier than the regular canvas, with a bit more of a rugged look. Will wear well, and I think fae a bit like raw denim, but I'll let Mike chime in there, he prolly knows a bit more about fading jeans than I do.

If your true waist is a size 30, what size should you order for the chinos? Do they correspond to waist or hips?

Post this in MC and see what they say, but if you ask me, I'd say size up one. Since this was a special order, maybe you'll have to just see if a tailor can let it out -- I don't know how much allowance there is but hopefully there is enough.

yeah now im starting to freak out a bit. the 40 had 17.5 inch shoulders, probably would have been fine.... :( well, we'll see what the tailor says.

Don't freak out man. RTW stuff generally has an allowance for letting out (up to two sizes really) and it doesn't look like a 10lb sausage in a 5lb bag as we like to say in Bay Ridge. It really prob just needs a nip let out in the chest and maybe shoulders.

The measurements correspond to the waistband of the item of clothing. What size to buy depends on where you intend on wearing them...
