^ DING! I'm sure I'd do the same.
i lol'd. just needed one more piece and i'd probably be there.
thanks. i wasn't sure about it but figured what the heck and it turned out well. pea coat is my grandfather's from WWII (coast guard). Been around the world and is 65+ years old but still looks great. Still need to get the lining in one arm fixed, but otherwise I just had to get it cleaned and the buttons moved a bit to fit me. They don't make 'em like they used to.
Absolutely right man...both my grandfathers fought, one threw all of his gear overboard on the return voyage home after the War and the other I have no idea what happened to it...I do have my grandfathers Navy id bracelet and dogtags that I wear everyday. Reminds me how easy my life is thanks to them. Cool shit man.
Great history on that, Oisin. Something to pass down to your son or nephew in thirty years or so. Looks great on you!
Submission #2: Walt Brown Guncheck (have I mentioned yet how these are pretty much my favorite pair of pants at the moment?) Also making an appearance are the grey flannel button-down shirt and the Schott carcoat.
Spoiler: Warning: Spoiler!
yeah for sure. he still gets a kick out of the fact that i wear it. he had sort of forgotten about it for a long time, doesn't talk too much about things, but every once in a while i'll break out a photo book and see pictures of him in the Philippines or somewhere, or get a good story. you're absolutely right NYR, we got it easy.

Oh brother, these guys just don't stop with the great pics. Seems like we're getting some excellent entertainment value out of this contest.
Tossing my entry into the hat for the drawing. I've become an Epaulet addict this year (just placed another order today, in fact). This is the first fit pic I've ever taken/posted, so hopefully it's not too terrible (I should have used a better camera though).
Fidelity pea coat
Brooks Brothers merino wool sweater
Epaulet black gingham button down collar shirt
Epaulet Rivet Chino heavyweight stone
LS x Alden Plaza wingtip boots in natural CXL
I feel that kg should win because the contest is sending him on a long downward spiral towards fit insanity...come baaaaaack kg....
"Fit insanity"? Wha dat?
i dunno dude, you've been looking classy.
fit insanity is when you start to see things like triple herringbone and quadruple plaid
or boot tuck
Great pic man
