Oh yeah it's definitely very stretchy and it's not super fitted. The yarn is hand-knit so it's fairly low tension, and it's ridiculously soft.@Epaulet - Can you comment on how stretchy the alpaca sweaters are? Looking at the measurements, I think I'm probably right between a small and a medium and the pictures of the model in the medium look a little long in the body. So as somebody who is nowhere near as tall as the model I'm leaning towards the small. I think the shoulder and chest dimensions of the small should be fine for me but if there is just a tad bit of stretchiness, that would definitely be a point towards going with the small instead of the medium.
Our model is wearing the Medium really well in these pics and he has some room. For comparison, I have him in a Doyle 40, which is pretty fitted on him. And I probably outweigh him by about 30lb, but the Medium is stretching enough to be comfortable on me without being too tight. Knowing your sportcoat and custom shirting size, you can definitely do a Small.
And regarding the sleeve length, it's actually every clever. The sleeves are cut on the longer side, but you have a wide and comfortable cuff at the wrist and a pretty strong sleeve taper around mid-forearm. So even if it's long, the sleeves just stack up a bit at the cuff and it doesn't look off. The overall vibe is soft and a little slouchy, so it works. I'll shoot some pics of myself in it tomorrow.
I need to do a video on these too. Lowkey, they're really some of the best sweaters that we've ever offered. I wish that we could have put together more colors, but we had to work with the handknit that they had available in order to make our schedule. But Grey and Pine are certified bangers!
