^ That's a creative use. I never would've thought to style it practically as a vest under a topcoat. The proportions really work.

What was the lead time for the Hertling promo earlier this month? (I think I recall reading 4-6 weeks, but don’t remember for sure)

totally agreed and his color matching is on point

those doyle vests from FW17 were really strong!
I think this photo proves that there needs to be a Sashiko update to that

yup, about 4-6 weeks. I’m hoping to get some pairs shipped on Friday to start

glad that they’re still going strong!

@Epaulet

Does the Dartmouth have a double vent? Is 3/2 roll still a thing or is that out?
yup, double vent on the Dartmouth. And unfortunately the 3/2 is lost to the wind, so the only option is 2-button

Yes I like the look too. I find myself wearing my shadow ink sashiko doyle underneath my olive barber jacket (ashby) a lot. I think the combination works.

Idea for Epaulet Photo Contest Thread

Hey everyone,

I was chatting with Fok (LA Guy), and we were bouncing around ideas on how to get more photo content onto the site. Compared to the past, the quantity and quality of fit photos across the site are a shell of their former selves. It makes sense, as posting to IG & FB is far easier and the feedback is generally greater and definitely more immediate. With a bulletin board like this, there is really no competing.

I'm wondering... maybe we can encourage people to contribute more if we set up a distinct space for it with a monthly contest. Fok and I talked about doing an Epaulet fit thread, which would start on March 1st. People can post any photos in there that they like. We can banter and comment on the photos there, but I'll keep the usual brand updates in this main thread. At the end of each month, the winner gets something like a $25 gift certificate and a custom Styleforum title of their choosing. The custom title is "kind of a big deal" as only the admins can write them in.

Open to feedback. Would you guys be into that?

How do you feel about spending money on non-essential goods during the Covid-19 crisis?

  • I don't want to spend money at a time of economic uncertainty, even if I could afford it.

  • I feel compelled to spend to help small businesses that are struggling.

  • I reduced my budget for non-essential goods and I'm not spending at the moment.

  • Not much has changed for me and I'm still buying stuff I can't afford.
