damnit, people. what kind of jackets do y'all wear with blackwatch trousers? Not even solid navy is looking right to me, as the trousers resolve to black to my eyes.

Medium grey, tan, camel, brown, burgundy if you're feeling bold?

(I don't own any; just playing armchair stylist.)

Navy. I have a pair from another brand, but admittedly, I seldom wear them since they are too seasonal and specific. Seemed like a good idea at the time though.

Cant wait to see these jackets all made up. Some incredible fabrics for this drop. Congrats and hope everyone snagged what they wanted.

    Banana Doyle for me today.

Thanks y’all. I guess I fell in love with the idea of it before considering is practicality.

Also, I could be open to wearing it with a sweater and no sport coat.

This is probably a stupid question - is Southwick's suit jacket the same pattern as the sport jacket?

My sartorial insticts are a little limited, but I can see myself wearing the Navy Olive Windowpane as a sportcoat:

It probably depends quite a bit on the exact colors in the trousers (I've seen people call trousers of quite a few different shades "Blackwatch") but I usually wear a camel or a navy jacket with mine. Besides a jacket though, I'm usually more likely to wear mine with a solid color shetland sweater.

Yes, should be the same between suit and jacket especially since you can tailor the suiting options to be less formal (i.e. patch pockets). I think the Navy Olive Windowpane would be an awesome sportcoat. I keep going back and forth on pulling the trigger. Super versatile as it pairs with light grey, khaki and even darker blue.

Yeah - it was the one that immediately caught my eye. Have wanted a windowpane pattern for a while, but this one was the first one that was super-compelling and felt like something I could wear (I'm hopeless but trying :))
