Received my pair of the 'Rivet Chino Charcoal Herringbone' today and I just wanted to say YEEESSSSS hahaha. First time buying a pair of chinos at full pop (usually wearing denim so I look for sales on other legwear [IMG] ) and they are definitely worth it..super soft, love the herringbone pattern and I really really (!) like the fit. Pretty sure I'm just going to buy all my chinos and trousers from Epaulet, thank you guys for a great product.

It's from seam to seam. But, if you measure it from one physical end to another, it adds an extra 0.5" to the overall measurment.

[IMG] I can't wrap my head around this statement.

I've always measured across the back, just enough below the bottom of the collar such that you can put the tape in a straight line across.

Best bet might just be to post a photo and I'm sure someone in MC [IMG] can confirm if it's the correct measurement.

I'm a little say-wha? about that as well. I'm also curious how shoulders are measured on the woven shirts. Is there a different method for that versus sport coat measurements? Also, are these measurements take with the garment laying flat, or while wearing the garment? - Keith

It's the standard procedure, guys. Top of seam A to top of seam B across the back of the garment.

I think Mike was referring to the extra fabric, beyond the shoulder seam, added by the top part of the sleeve when including the extra 0.5". It would be mostly negligible and isn't normally measured.

My feedback on the SC sizing would just be that the shirts go up to a 19.5" shoulder. To match that, the SC's should surely go up to 20"?

I have a Hickeystyle jacket that I measured and the measurements are pretty much the same as the sport coat. That would mean it's pretty slim but yeah it doesn't seem off to me. Haven't measured any of my shirts though.

Whether they should of made bigger sizes I dunnno but it seems like a pretty slim cut as stated.

And I've measured as always like the MC FAQ on measuring says: from one seam to the other, across the back, at the widest point(of the seams, not the fabric)

Woooo! I'm between 33-34 and am wearing a 33 in British Khaki. Unfortunately there's no 32s in the clearance, so I'm just gonna bite it on the 33. A 34 1/4 waist should be fine. The rest of the measurements seem identical to the other chinos by size, is it only the waist that's diff on these? Still, looking forward to!

This is my feedback, too. It recommends a 38R for people who take a Medium in the shirting, but the shoulder is 1" smaller. Regarding measurement conventions, this is what I know: http://www.askandyaboutclothes.com/T...easurement.htm

  9. Just got the Thorogood 685's in the mail the other day. Wore them to work today and I'm blown away by the quality, value, and looks. They are really beautiful. I feel like they are a no brainer for the price. Bought some Red Wing Gentleman Travelers recently (in cigar color) and as much as I love Red Wings, these Thorogoods just feel and look better all around. I gotta hand it to Epaulet... they have some seriously good taste in their offerings. BTW, thanks to this forum for introducing me to the Thorogoods.... in one of the boot threads. Now that I know about Epaulet, I'm worried about my wallet [IMG]
