Black and gum. But I'd buy black/black. That's if they fit me, unlike CPs, 41 being too slim in the boxtoe, 42 too long.

    Yep, that's a Buttero sneaker.

Thanks! They are orange shell Tricker's. Speaking of which, is Comipel an option for the shell for the sneakers? After seeing this pic of monkey boots a few years ago, I thought they would work well in sneaker form.

It's softer than Horween shell, but I've liked it just as much.

I would include the two holes Lanvin sneakers have on the inner side of the shoes. It really helps ventilate the damp in the sneakers, while the sport trainers are great, my feet get wet after some 10-5 min cycling to the station or while running between changing trains.
Also, would prefer a single color or very close toned shoes. Anything in white on a shoe is just to hard to maintain for me.

Great call - we're looking into them as an option as we speak. Sourcing European-made shell would certainly make things easier.

I like their skins quite a bit. As you said it lacks the rigidity of Horween's shell, but that's not an issue with a sneaker, and may actually allow the factory to work better with the leather.

I'll just say that we're pretty far out on this for a time frame. My goal this summer is to establish a full sneaker collection that we can build out and grow. Shell Cordovan would be a natural extension, but I've learned one thing: NEVER make assumptions when using a factory that has not worked with shell cordovan or horsehide. It's a totally different material and there is a learning curve. We'd certainly have to take our time with multiple samples to ensure a consistent quality on these, as they'd be pricey. Earliest release date for such a product would be late Fall.

+1. Without those holes I can't imagine how sweaty my one pair of leather sneakers would be.

I don't know how I would look in that blue windowpane, but Dylan definitely wears it like a boss. [IMG]

Oh man that slubby brown windowpane, so awesome. Wish I had some free-floating cash for it, it's just the kind of thing I had hoped would come out of this collab but car repairs shot my budget.

Those handsewn chukkas are really great. I'm feeling sort of a shoe overload or I'd really consider them. After going all winter wearing a limited set of shoes with the ice/snow/salt I have this big backlog of Shoes I Need To Wear. And of course some Vass x EP incoming at some point... But those scotchgrain chukkas... :nodding:

And I agree about that windowpane Samuelsohn. Beautiful fabric.

Tennis shoe concept looks great! I know you don't typically carry smaller sizes, but if there was any way to get a few size 7 or 7.5 in stock, that would make me happy!

    Cheers,
    Hal

What are you guys doing in them? 5Ks? I'm assuming your non-perforated leather dress shoes are causing the same issues?

Currently wearing navy UK sanded chinos and am loving them. I was sad when the navy regimental twills disappeared, but these fit the bill quite nicely. It's a nice alternative to jeans and find that these are going to be a goto in my wardrobe.
