I think that they look great with the jeans, and that the whole look is nicely put together

Ok. Who's up for this boot in Oxblood? Maybe we need to get an Epaulet x Vass thread going like the Carmina one...

    Also agree with this.

@BrandonJG I had a pair of navy linen Walts tapered below the knee last summer and it did the trick -- though I've since come around to the idea that linen trousers really should have room to breathe around the legs.

@oisin : i've been thinking about your fit because I do feel that black + blue + brown is hard to work--I think about it with my own fits too. there are a few ways I know will work (like keeping the browns lighter, like i mentioned before) but i feel like i must be missing some ways.

That looks great, Chris. I dig the way you wear your suits, especially the slightly loose trousers with break. Very dope.

I never think about black knit ties the same way that black is usually viewed in traditional menswear. I tend to think that they're more of a rock n roll/FU kind of vibe/attitude.

Epaulet Tennis Shoe - Summer 2014

    Hey guys,

This season, we're going to build out our sneaker collection with a new style. The "Tennis Shoe" is going to be a minimal sneaker, made in Europe of the same full grain calf that we're using for the Sport Trainer. I haven't confirmed the final price, but it will be $250 max, and hopefully less than that. It takes an inset, stitched down natural rubber sole. Like the Sport Trainer, we're aiming to offer the absolute best quality piece for the price available anywhere.

We're going to do three colors to start. I'd love to hear your feedback on the colorways. The first one is easy:

Color #1: White Smooth Leather, Grey Suede Heel Detail, White Sole

Color #2: Black Smooth Leather, Black Suede Heel Detail, Gum Sole or Black Sole
Here I'm a bit undecided. I personally like black sneakers with gum soles, but more guys might be into an all black version. What do you think?

Color #3: Brown Smooth Leather or Snuff Suede, Matching Heel Detail, Gum Sole
I'm tossing up smooth leather or suede. Something about a Snuff suede tennis sneaker - made in really great quality suede - with a gum sole sounds really fresh.

Those tennis shoes sound awesome Mike! I think snuff suede in this shoe would be awesome. The white is a definite as well. I'm indifferent on the black shoes.

After going with your take on GATs, are these patterned after CP achilles?

I feel like snuff suede may not be as popular overall but is a little more unique than smooth leather. I would consider a snuff suede while I'd have no real interest in the smooth leather.

Black leather/gum sole makes me think of an Adidas Samba. Any feelings toward that make-up would just be channeling any love or hate I'd have for the original Samba.
