Thank you! This is from Knize, a shop in Vienna. It's made in Italy and looks very close to the Valstar piece. I wouldn't be surprised if they were made in the same factory.

Still waiting on shipment notification and the final breakdown from VASS - we'll hopefully know soon. Unfortunately these small manufacturers have to work on their own schedules. Once we have the breakdown for our pending VASS and Carmina deliveries, we'll notify everyone via our email newsletter.

+1 on Reigning Champ. It's fantastic, and made in Canada. We picked up their line for the store.

I just ordered myself a pair of the sweat knickers from WvG. I got a chance to try them on over the weekend and then I had to have some.

Mike, you picked up reigning champ? I avoided purchasing a nice sweatshirt because unlike a nice sweater, I could not justify the price to myself... Then i decided to take the plunge with a green heavyweight zip hoodie from Reigning Champ and good lord it is beautiful!!! The details and fabric are great. Most importantly, I always felt it was an exaggeration when I was told that well made sweatshirts held their shape better, but I have not really noticed the Reigning Champ losing it's shape at all, where as my JCrew crewneck is shapeless halfway through the first wear haha!

Can you give any examples of what you are planning to carry? Thanks!

Yeah, their stuff is great. I like Wings and Horns too. And it's interesting how good quality fleece fabric and manufacturing can really give you a garment that lasts, retains its shape, and ages nicely.

We picked up some of their year round basics (hoodie, crew, sweat short, sweat pant) and a bunch of Fall-specific things. Including some really excellent heavyweight pieces.

We're going to offer a lot of fleece and terry items through EPLA, but this will compliment that merchandise well. Reigning Champ is more basic in styling and done in fairly thick, tough fabrics. EPLA is going to be softer, slimmer, and generally do more with dyes and speciality fabrics. They'll both sit very nicely together.

I think that it's a good match for our store. We're selective with 3rd party brands, and we try to offer brands that really own their categories. I have a few RC pieces and I love them.

I understand we all appreciate Mike's willingness to venture into new-product-territory, but honestly, to some of these requests, I just think "why not go to a different brand for that?"

Sweat shorts? Many, many other brands already do that aesthetic, so why not venture there - beyond the vanity of having everything in the wardrobe say EP? I don't think EP's place is to become a 1-stop provider for anything imaginable. Overdiversification doesn't benefit anybody, causing EP to divert attention from what it does well, and then putting out a readily-available product into a marketplace where such a thing is already available.

Just one view. I appreciate Mike's sartorial daring too, but I think it has its limits.

Work jackets are up. Hard choice between Navy and Olive but most likely will go for Olive :nodding:

    Hey Mike,

When can I order Walts in same fabric as Driggs (washed cotton twill). I want to get both, navy and British khaki.

On the topic of sweatshirts, the heather copper color from Reigning Champ is great. I'd love to see an Epaulet hoodie in that color.

Ordered the olive Doyle jacket. Hopefully I got the size right. I went with size 40 since the measurements looked pretty much identical to the medium moleskin overshirt that worked pretty well for me.

I agree with you El Ar. I think the clarification to this is the way EPLA is diversifying itself from EPNY. EPLA is heading toward the casual with all the denim, TShirts, hoodies, etc. EPNY appears sticking to the business casual/business attire. This lends itself to 2 distinct lines under the Epaulet brand.

Doyle does look excellent. Nice job Mike and Matt. I went with the blue. It is not easy to choose between the two colors.

Also +1 for organic cotton! I really appreciate the thoughtfulness that goes into both the design and the sourcing of Epaulet's garments.

I'm going to rock the heck out of this thing at the health food store. Seriously.

The Doyle wasn't on my radar at all but I just grabbed one in olive as a belated b-day present to myself!
