You are correct, they are a dainite sole. Love these shoes, they are tanks and they are warmer than alden tobacco chamois (which I also got for foul weather).

I regret not getting the steinbeck boot in brown chromexcel

Taking Phone Orders While the Site is Down

Hey guys, I don't have an ETA for when the site is back up, but if you'd like to order something without waiting, please feel free to call either of our New York shops. The gentlemen there will be happy to take your order over the phone.

The Snorkel is amazing. When I bought it a couple of months ago I was really disappointed at how lightweight it was and I intended to return it as I didn't feel it would be good for Toronto winters.

Luckily I forgot to return it because it is soooo warm and the looks are killer. Has kept me super warm on -20 celcius days this week.

If you're cold...don't sleep on it.

A stained wife beater. He's Canadian, and the mayor of his city admittedly smokes crack. Do they make em any tougher?

    1) Agree on how deceptively warm the coat is given how thin it is. Most coats of this style I have observed have some kind of down filling. When I went to examine the coat in store, I almost didn't buy it because it almost felt like a North Face shell that required a liner or something. However, I read that the coat was filled with some insulation, and I read a review of last year's coat (I believe from NewYorkIslander) that stated it was warm, so I went through with it. The coat is in fact very toasty, especially when you wear the hood. It's one of the warmest I have worn.

    2) When it comes to fit, I am a size 42 in slim suit jackets (a 42 from Epaulet basically fits me off the rack with no alterations) and I bought a 40 in this jacket. The size 40 fits over my suits just fine.

Might be too late for this, but a pic for the fall 13 contest random drawing. Not going to win any awards (I look like I'm pregnant in this pic). Winter casual, with accessories in the background. Thanks to the guys at the shop for indulging me on this pic.

+1 on this. Don't baby your shoes even if they're fancy. Shoes are meant to be worn. These look great!

I have to sell my Rivet Chino Cone Mills Selvedge Denim and my Rivet Chinos Duck Canvas in French Blue, both in size 30 and brand new. Great quality but they just don't fit. Shoot me a PM if interested

Hahaha Rob...who knew the day would come when a New Yorker would be accusing a Canadian of smoking crack in a stained beater ;)

Neutrino - just a button down and merino. I wasn't walking long distances but felt very warm while everyone else complained.

[IMG] That geelong cardigan is one of the better items of clothing I own. Like an Xmas present to yourself.

I'd really be interested in this as well.

My tailor was blown away by the wool-cashmere-mink pants when I brought them in to be hemmed. Thanks again for offering those up!
