The pinstripe pockets on the Grey ripstop is a really great little feature. I like that makeup quite a bit

At the moment it's not available, but we'll hopefully be able to bring it back down the road. The actual supplier of the blue taping is backordered on it.

A lot of MTO Rivets were packed and labeled over the weekend, so those are being picked up today. And we get a MTO delivery once per week, so if you haven't received a shipping confirmation yet then you should get it shortly.

Ah, I wish that we could! All of these MTO Rivet Fabrics were bought off price as "remainder" fabrics. All of the wool blends would have been very expensive at their original pricing, so buying it as such allowed us to have the $175 price point. But the flipside is that we cannot get any more of them. Once they're cut, they're gone for good. But we should be able to regularly refresh the options with new fabrics.

In the meantime, if you're on the fence about Wool Corduroy then don't wait too much longer - we've only got enough for 3 more units. It's an amazing fabric, and makes for a seriously good F/W chino.

Fairly certain I read it as Aberdeen on the site... what's to debate?

    Hi Mike,

Two questions on the duffle coats:

    - will measurements be posted for these?

    - how would you rate them for warmth?

    Thanks,
    H

Make that one unit. I have the autumn herringbone enroute but after seeing pix of the wool corduroy had to nab a pair of those as well.

Not a debate per se but someone posted pics of theirs and it looked more rounded than your typical Aberdeen....

First Epaulet shirt received today for fit trial... perfect fit. Good for me, bad for the credit card....

Also received the Graycast Cocoa FF sportcoat - AWESOME hand, perfect fit. I might try a size down 41L next time I order, and we'll see about the rest of the FF sportcoats that I receive in 42L, but the 42L is pretty much spot-on. When will the rest of these sportcoats be in/shipped out?

Last question (pun intended) - I find that the Alden Hampton is basically my personal last. Which of the Vass would match up best with these? I'm considering an MTO....:slayer:

Great - glad that everything worked out! We've still got about 25% of the Factory Finds pieces still open, and we're expecting to get them this month. I don't have an exact ship date as Southwick has to make them when they have open capacity on the line - that's the arrangement that we have in order to get that special pricing.

And regarding VASS, I'd advise both the F last and the New Peter. They're pretty similar in overall shape and fit. And closest to that "standard" shape of the Aberdeen. The VASS U last is significantly slimmer and directional, and the Budapester/3636 are fuller in cut.

Good call, I looked it up. According to our confirmation from Alden, it should be made on the Aberdeen. We've also sold about 13 units so far, all under the Aberdeen assumption, and we haven't had any returns on it. So it seems to be working with the typical Aberdeen styling. Perhaps the scotchgrain's thicker hide and decreased elasticity gave it a rounder profile.

Thank you sir! You're going to love these.

Yup, my apologies for that - we had the measurements in the items right before they launched, but something happened when they were saved over. We'll get them re-built pronto.

And in terms of warmth, these are pretty good. Gloverall makes jackets for a proper UK Fall/Winter, so I'd put them up there with a standard heavyweight wool overcoat. In the world of wool jackets, the only thing that you'll find to be much warmer than this is something crazy thick - like the 32oz Naval Peacoats from the likes of Schott. Layered with a very solid sweater, you'd have no problem getting through pretty much an entire Northeast winter with this. And if you dig the traditional Duffle coat shape, I'd say that Gloverall makes the best quality and warmest piece for the price. It's not as warm as our snorkel parka, but no all-wool or wool-blend piece is going to be. If you live somewhere with a much colder winter than NYC, then you'll probably need something down-filled or more technical for really cold days. But I had no problem wearing a Gloverall in early December on a trip to Montreal a few years ago.

    You know it!

Will you guys be announcing any of the Vass group MTO options before the sales open up on Friday?
