Decided to write this as a word of caution about the new batch of Luchino Polo shirts.
Dry clean them. Never wash. (or size up and then wash).
Washed mine in cold water and dried on "no heat" setting (just like I do with my other Luchino from last year) - it became a square that is about 2.5" - 3" shorter than it was. The width shrank too, but it is tolerable and expected.
Here's a photo. Blue one is the washed one from last year (or whenever the first batch shipped) - grey one is a new shrunken one.

Once again - just be careful, those are great shirts - but I guess water is not their friend.

You can try a cold rinse/spin, lay flat and block back into shape … use your regular one as a guide to reshape it.

Ah man, I'm really sorry to hear that. I've washed my grey shirt about 6 times so far, and it's had very little shrinkage - about an eighth of an inch - which is around the rate for the other colors. But it's a slightly thicker fabric, so the tumbling action of the dryer may have caused it to constrict. macjedi is right on with his advice. It's a knit, and I'd be surprised if it permanently shrank. Wash it regularly in cold water. Hang it up next to your other shirt on a thick hanger - a suit hanger preferably. You want a lot of support at the shoulders. Slowly and evenly pull down on it to reshape it. Try to get the length a bit longer than the other shirt. And then let it dry from there. This works on sweaters and denim, and I believe that it will work in your case too.
Those boots are just perfect on you!
I'm waiting on the exact shipping confirmation on the trousers, but I think that we'll do a "new pants are here" little party on Saturday Oct 12th. Bring out the booze cart once again, offer some snacks. Something like 5-8PM.
Should be the same as we've been running for the past few years. If you have one of the OLD school pieces made in New York with the old tag, then that was different and slightly cheaper kind of oxford cloth.
Haha, it's very close. I just know that it's not ours due to the collar
Yes, but we only tend to stock 1-2 units at a time. They either sell fast or VERY slowly. But that said, we can custom cut you a belt. It would be a $10 upcharge for a single unit, or no upcharge for 2 units or more. Quick turnaround too - usually about 3 weeks. Drop us an email if you'd like to do it.
Absolutely, we're definitely going to restock that exact item - should be here at the end of the Fall.
Thank you sir! Glad to hear that you're so pleased with it. You're going to love how that jacket performs when you wear it.
Ahh man, I've been there too. There's no getting around bleach. I'd take ahjota's advice and try dying it. I haven't personally done it, but I've heard that this is a good resource for it: http://www.dharmatrading.com/dyes/dharma-fiber-reactive-procion-dyes.html?lnav=dyes.html

    Walt Trouser Main Delivery Swatches

    Hey guys,

Thanks for bearing with me: here are the swatches, descriptions, and prices for the main Walt delivery that we're anticipating. We should have most of them this week and the balance next week. They'll be some surprises and limited-run fabrics after this, but this lineup is going to be the bulk of our Fall offering.

    Rudy guys...
At the moment, this is all that I've got to show, but if something captures your eye and you want a Rudy trouser, then just drop us an email and we'll put it into work for you. When the Walt trousers come in we'll have full photos of each fabric to really give you a sense of it.

My opinion: the UK tweeds are some of the best tweeds that we've ever been able to offer, and they're really well priced. Sandy Orange, Steel Mist, and Olive/Brown Herringbone are all freaking amazing. I can't wait to get my hands on an orange pair.

Can you guys do a quick comparison of the differences between the new UK tweeds and the UK Donegal tweeds you have in stock right now?

They're really similar in weight. I don't have the exact ounces, but I'm pretty sure that they're the exact same weight and yarn, just a different weave pattern.

The solids have a marled texture, so there's a few colors in there when you look at it closely. The herringbones throw a herrinbone into that equation. The Donegals have their own unique donegal weave and structure. But wear and comfort wise they'll be identical.

Since we're running the Donegals in easy colors, we decided to buy most of these in more off-kilter tones.

All that I'm saying is: Navy sportcoat, Sandy Orange Trousers, Kudu Antelope Jumper Boots. My god.

What might look good with the cream goldenrod FF sportcoat? Mid gray and Air Force blue, etc are no brainers. Any of the new trousers?

    Mike-
Thx for swatches. Some solid choices here.

I had purchased the Purple Shetland Tweeds last Fall and ultimately had to sell them b/c they were too itchy for me.
I own the Grey Donegal Tweeds you ran last Fall and I was fine with those.

How itchy would you say these new fabrics? Any I should stay away from?

Question(s) - what last is the new Vass double monk on? How would you compare their construction and calf to say the Carminas you offer? For some reason I've always been stuck on shell cordovan so I've never owned a good pair of calf, do they have the same longevity/wonderful aging in a rotation? (also when are these dropping? Mike--

Thanks for putting up the swatches. Are there going to be any cotton options? I recall you mentioning an aubergine color, some steep twills and brown duck canvas. Are these still in the works? Any others I did not mention?

Just received the navy hopsack Barrett double breasted jacket and matching rudy trousers yesterday. The fit on that jacket is perfect. First time anything has ever fit that good with no alterations. In fact, when I went to the alterations shop today the tailor there said that there was nothing he could do to improve the fit. I did leave the jacket there to get the buttons changed out as i'm not a fan of the MOP buttons that came with it. Can't wait to get it back!
