Question - any double monk shell cordovan restocks on the horizon?
No, it's not water resistant, but it's a very tightly woven fleece and it's definitely an outerwear piece. But I'll qualify that by saying.. an outerwear piece for nice days. You could wear this in a light rain, but you really don't want to. All of the other Veneto stuff is water-resistant though.
But you'll love the design, it's gorgeous. Very Cucinelli-esque, but for $1050 rather than a TON more. You guys are going to dig it. The fit and finish are absolutely perfect on this.
Not at the moment, but we've got a new Carmina delivery coming in this week, and it's packed with some goodies. They should be online by Friday.
You and me both! Only the men of Epaulet Manhattan hath seen the final product.
Any news on Walt swatches?
What is the sizing run? S-XL or jacket sizing?
And will there be a single-breasted version? I've something like that before with a 3/2 button config. Looked awesome.
Still disappointed that my factory find sport coat was canceled due to issues with the fabric. Next time I guess...
All of the Veneto line is done in Italian Chest sizing with a US equivalent (ex. IT48/US38). An XL Epaulet shirt guy should fit very nicely into the 52 in this piece.
Oh yes, the new quilted sportcoat is single breasted. A lot less expensive too - it's $895 this season. It's freaking perfect.
Should be here any day now. And the actual Walts are landing next week.
Oh noooo that's a bummer, was really expecting new/re-stocked monks this fall! Any particular reason why?
But definitely excited for the new Carmina delivery, hoping there'll be something that'll catch my eye, I'm itching for a fall shoe purchase to pair with some MTO R/Cs.
How about the Vass double monk group MTO? Any traction on that?
Any updates on the sweats?
If I can only have two pairs of chinos, it would be these and white ducks easily.
Wis - you don't find them too "buttery"? I've been debating them or the "Desert" ducks for a place as "all-purpose chino."
El, I'm not who you asked, but I have the desert and the caramel. They're both really easy to pair, but I find myself wearing the caramel more than any other pants I have. They also get a ton of compliments.
I love the tone very much, it's very rich. I guess they are indeed buttery because they remind me of caramel candy, lol. The desert is nice too. I don't think you can go wrong with either.
