    Hey Mike!
If I want the chinos to sit on my hips (30") rather than my waist (28"), should I get the chinos in 29 or wait until you get the new batch with the 28's?

Also, I was wondering, would the chinos make me look too old, if I'm 18 and have a very young face (I look like 15-16)?

    Thanks!

Haha, what you're wearing with them is going to determine if you look 'old' or not.

Looks like I'm gonna finally have to blow the dust of the old credit card and make my first purchases in months! Killin' it, Mike, killin' it...

The chinos, at least in my experience, have a medium-ish rise that likes to sit on your waist anyway. I bought mine TTS. Mike would have a better idea, though, I'm sure.

I don't mean to be a total dick but this is sort of a ridiculous question. Look at the fit and the rise on these things and then tell me if you can honestly picture your dad wearing them.

Tryin to decide between either the khaki or seersucker shorts.
What could you rock with the seersuckers?

White, subdued pink, light yellow, different shades of blue....

Good call Dmash. I also like strong patterns in complimentary colors with the Seersucker. I would actually wear this Japanese Madras with it for kind of an "aggro preppie" look.

is it possible to take a quick snapshot of your Japanese madras shirt being worn mike? Looks amazing

We have a tucked in shot, but I'll try to snap a quick untucked one too. All of our shirts are designed to look good untucked.

I'm really glad that you asked this question, as I've gotten a bunch of PM's about how the Rivet Chino compares to slim fit chinos from Brooks Brothers and J.Crew.

The overall concept of this item was to make a great alternative to jeans. Something that a denim guy can wear when he's not wearing denim. As such, it's got a medium-low rise and a tapered slim-straight leg fit. The interior taping makes it a bit more rugged. I feel that it's something original that's not merely a traditional chino that's slimmed down. I think that you'll really dig the style. And it will naturally fit a bit below the waist, so you can take whatever size you typically wear. They run true.

Anybody know when the shorts are going up?

Working on it right now brah! I tell you, these have some unreal patternmatching going on. You really see it in the laid-out shots.

I received my navy chinos today. I will be ordering one in my size of every color you make in this fabric. The cut is perfect, the details ( metal buttons and interior fabrics) are great choices but for me what put this over the top is the fabric. It's got a soft hand with just the tiniest amount of lustre and at 8 oz. I can wear these fuckers all summer. Please tell me you've got more of this fabric on hand?

The chinos as a denim substitute are perfect. Having them in navy allows me to assemble any outfit that I'd normally wear denim with and be able to wear it to the office as well because I throw on the chinos instead.

this is exactly why I love these; I hate the "business casual" khaki vibe and thus have always avoided chinos for the office. The fit of the EP's is obviously a huge selling point however for me the concept of being a denim alternative is what makes them work so well. I wouldn't be as excited if they were just a slim fitting traditional chino..

The chino fabric is to die for. and it's definitely wearable in the summer as it's so light.
