Some of those Carminas look really good but I'm really dying for Vass. Hopefully I can pick up a pair at the SM branch when it arrives.

Can someone who bought the sneakers post a review of them compared to MMM?

Also, can the sneakers be special ordered in smaller sizes?

Alright I am picking up the navy Walt sanded canvas in 32. If you are getting in any cotton navy walts in 31 (like duck canvas restock) let me know so I can postpone my order please.

Was under the impression Alden products couldn't ship outside the USA.

A lot of retailers will ship them to Canada. Epaulet, unionmade, and needsupply all do. Shoemart doesn't though.

Would you ever do an Alden boot run with cigar shell cordovan and a commando sole? I think I'd spring for that in a heartbeat...

Probably not. Look back a few pages where Mike wrote about the pre-orders with Alden that are now between 2-3 years old for Cigar, Ravello, and Whiskey. Don't expect any new exotic colors until after those old ones are all fulfilled, and they haven't even been confirmed by Alden yet. Who knows how long it will take for those to be confirmed, then added to the production schedule, then actually produced and shipped out.

If the Ravello Brixton hasn't already set the record for the longest wait for a pre-order ever, then I'd be shocked. I seriously won't be surprised at all if it takes 5 years for this boot to be produced.

Question for those who own the ripstop Rivets. How would you compare the fit to the duck canvas? IME, duck canvas seems to be a little more generously cut compared to the 8oz and especially the oxford cloth (which for me seemed to run extremely small). Not by a huge margin, but enough that I noticed. I'm about to place an order but I need to decide if I'm going to go with my duck canvas size or size up to account for some extra slimness, like I ended up doing with the oxford cloths.

Well, I do own two pair of duck rivets and a ripstop rivet but none of the 8oz. From my experience the the rip stop was just a TINY BIT slimmer in the waist and thigh. These two fabric are wonderful on warmer weather days especially when the sun is down.
