Epaulet Made in Italy Marcello sport coat 36R

This is the Epaulet "Marcello" sport coat that was made for one season only at a factory in Italy that did true "spalla camicia" shoulder construction. The shoulders are natural, soft, and unstructured but are not completely unconstructed and the jacket does have canvassing to give it shape in the chest. A partial 3/8 lining means this wears cool and the quality of the construction can be easily viewed by looking at the inside of the sport coat. This particular sport coat is no longer available and cannot be ordered or found anywhere.


Size is an Italian 46 which is equivalent to a US 36. Measurements are taken from the garment, laid flat, and are in centimeters:

Shoulders: 44cm (~17 3/8")
Chest (half): 46cm (~18 1/8")
Waist (half): 40cm (~15 3/4")
Length: 72cm (~28 3/8")
Sleeve: 61cm (24")

The body of the jacket has been taken in and due to the way the jacket is constructed, all of the fabric remains available to be let back out if desired. There is at least an inch that can be let out to give more room in the chest and waist. The sleeves unfortunately do not have any extra fabric. The buttons are not functional though, so the sleeves can be shortened if desired.

The fabric on this sportcoat is so great -- a true lightweight wool, and the check is amazing on the white ground. If it fits you, do yourself a favor and buy it!
