1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

    There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Hippo looks pretty cool Would be interested in a version with it on the shaft, but not a full - seems too much to me

    There's nothing precluding doing a shaft-only version except for the 3 participant requirement. If you want to outline a makeup you'd like to see, I can check if others may be interested.

    @Leaves where is the list of current EB leathers available? I'm in the market for a new Chelsea boot. Thinking EB or St.C kudu :)

    I know AA Crack carries the G&G kudu leather. Would love to see if EB could source those and we could use at the EB price point.

    804? Very sleek and an absolutely gorgeous shade of shell. That sure is a looooong toe box, though - particularly evident in profile. What size are these - just so I can get a sense of proportion. I'd really like to try a pair of 804s for fit but it's a potentially expensive experiment.

    I'm always interested in exotics so keep me in the loop for the hippo too.

    @RogerP

    Thank you very much my friend.

    804 indeed.

    Are you still taking a UK 8.5 for Carmina Rain? Or is it 9?

    These are UK 9.5 "G" fitting. The fit is right on the money.

    They are indeed a little long, but I actually like it.

    I would recommend the same size in 804 then.

    You should be fine.

    The only way I would be reluctant is if it were a balmoral style, but even then it should work.

    Thank you for organising. I'm fairly easygoing and will be ok with most permutations, last, hippo shaft only, etc. But with the only caveat of it being a non black boot.
