For a rough boot, I would recommend their Suportlo leather. Colour 41 and 21 are both very nice. It's a quite greasy leather, similar (possibly the same) to that which Heschung and Paraboot uses.

Thanks for the heads up on Suportlo, it looks like a good leather for what I'm looking for.

I am about to purchase my first Enzo and had a quick question: Does the 804 or the 946 fit like Carmina Rain? I have heard it both ways and am slightly confused...

I find the 804 actually fits slightly roomier than Carmina Rain in the same size.

Would you also say it's roomier (across the ball and toes) than 946? in the same size / width.

I take 7 in 804, 7.5 in 946, 7.5 in rain. 804 is longer than rain in same size

How does the 946 compare to Rain in terms of volume? Larger fitting or smaller? I wear a 9UK in Rain, but while I could go to 9.5UK in length, the shoe would be far too voluminous for me. If the 946 fits larger than Rain in that respect, it wont fit me.

Most noticeable difference on my feet, higher instep on the eb. Maybe slightly wider across the ball as well.

Wore my new spectators today in a casual look with an OCBD and some navy chinos! I'm really loving them. Way more versatile then I thought they'd be.

Gents, need a little sizing advice.

Planning on doing an EB MTO on the 946 last, for a balmoral.

I understand 946 is very similar to Rain, but in terms of the heel, how have you found it? My only issue with Rain in UK 7.5 is that I get a little heel slip. Inca in UK 7.5 is very comfortable on the heel but is tight across the instep/forefoot.

I know EB's standard width is F, and so I am thinking to go down a width to E, but am concerned this would make the instep and toes too tight.

For those of you who have both EB 946 and Carmina Rain, how would you say the heels compare? Is the EB heel a little higher/tighter, or is it very similar to Rain?

    For reference:

AE (pretty much every last): US 8.5D
Carmina Rain: UK 7.5 (minor heel slip)
Carmina Inca: UK 7.5 (tight across instep)
    Carmina Simpson: UK 8
Alden Barrie: US 8D (minor heel slip)
    Alden 379X: US 8D

    Thanks in advance.

The 946 is a little snugger in the heels, higher in the instep and more angular in the stout compared to the Rain.

This can mean your pinky may suffer from the harsh taper at the toes. I doubt going down in width is a good idea if you are an American D. Although it fits snug at the heels, if you have low instep, the heels will still lift.

Overall, I would still take the same size as the Rain.
