Fat foot problem
You're welcome and glad to help
You got that right. All my life, before I started wearing real shoes, I just sized up to an 11 or 11.5D
Then, I found out I am actually a 10EE.
So, there you have it.
I am thinking 804 in UK 9.5 "G" fitting.
I sized down .5 from rain to 804. I found 804 similar in width, and the instep about the same, possibly more generous. Also the 804 is definetely longer. Probably 4mm or so in the same sizing.
Is it the same length from heel to ball in same size as Rain?
Because I need the width in the forefront.
I have average instep with wide forefront.
Alden Aberdeen fit like a glove in 10EE or 10.5E.
EE is better.
I know that boots are quite a bit more forgiving in general.
Better to be a bit bigger than smaller is what I mean.
I don't have the shoes with me but basing on memory 804 is wider in the toe and narrower in the heel vs rain. 804 is longer overall but I don't feel much difference in terms of fit length wise so i am guessing the heel to ball should be similar. I would not be able to size down on 804 vs rain but i have a wide forefoot.
Might be best to ask Skoaktiebolaget guys.
Question. If I take a UK 9.5 Wide in Rain, would you recommend the same size in 804?
Thank you very much for the comparison pics!
Lengthwise i would take the same size. Width wise depends on your feet and preference (snug, loose).
I follow one size difference for uk vs us sizing.
Did you size down a half size on the 804?
no, the 804 is longer
Is the 804 more like the Detroit in overall proportions? I guess is my next question...
can't answer that for you, I have no experience with the Detroit last.
Hi i wear the same size but i have a wide forefoot.
