I am crazy about the shape, it just does not have enough room in standard width.

    I would need a wide.

I am assuming you are talking about taking about width in forefoot.
I would recommend taking the same size in 804 as you take in Rain last.
I have Rain, C&J 325 and 804 all in the same size. 804 is more generous in width and length than Rain last.

This is EXACTLY the kind of advice I am looking for.

I had to sell a pair of Rain Last in UK 9.5 standard width. Perfect in length.

I needed a UK 9.5 wide for ideal fit in Rain.

Can I piggyback on to watch's question and ask about the 804's instep compared to Rain? I tried on an 8UK in Rain and the length was a bit long, but the instep was really good for me. I didn't have the chance to try the 7.5 which would be the correct length. I assume the 7.5 Rain would have given me a bit wider lacing gap.

    Gentlemen,

I am working on an absolutely insane MTO through Skoak and EB...[IMG]

Vass did not have the shade of cordovan I was looking for.

EB seems to be working out MUCH better anyhow.

They basically have EVERY cordovan shade under the sun, available right now, from Horween. [IMG]

I am afraid I will not be of much help here. The only model I have on 804 is Jodhpur boot and I do not know how would I compare that with instep on Rain lasted shoes.

Here are my hypothetical specs up until now:

3540 Bal Boot with toe cap perfs and perf around the ankle of boot.

    804 Last in "G" fitting

Horween Brandy or #4 shell cordovan.

Single leather sole with beveled waist

    Flat 270 welt

    Wheeling and fudging

    light brown edge

    Contrast stitching on welt

Now, don't take me up on this yet, I am still brainstorming with @Skoaktiebolaget

What do you guys think, Brandy or Color 4 shell?

    Definitely Navy.

You have to speak to Skoak.

    Essentially same as Vass.

804 instep should be higher. I'm travelling at the moment but you can refer to my instagram pics:

    Something like this

I dislike the perf line around the ankle.

This was the Vass I was looking at.

What we are gonna do is go with EB 3540:

With perfs on the toe and then extending around the seam on the ankle as well.
