EB shaves the shell to make it thinner. It definitely helps with flexibility. The rolls also forms much much quicker and more prominent.Yeah, they really did. Super pleased with the color (a little off in my photo) and the last is great for boots. Surprisingly flexible too.
Congratulations. Love the look of these. What is the make up ?First pair of Bonafe’s after their first wear out. Really pleased with them

We did this with the 360 flat welt and toe taps too.Congratulations. Love the look of these. What is the make up ?
I like them, but given we went into it with the moniker “EB Thorpe,” I’m disappointed. They’re not as awesome as I’d hoped, but still very, very nice.I have 5 boxes on the way ... They came out so awesome.
Are you happy with them ?
That is a bummer, wasn't the wait time close to a year on those as well?I like them, but given we went into it with the moniker “EB Thorpe,” I’m disappointed. They’re not as awesome as I’d hoped, but still very, very nice.
Also, kinda wishing I’d have tried to get the other in full mahogany big grain, as opposed to just the shaft. 1st world problems
Just over a year, but given they are in Italy, it would be foolish for one’s expectations to be otherwise. That is a bummer, wasn't the wait time close to a year on those as well?
I totally get you on that one. Still a great pair of boots but not G&G thorpe. The EB just missed it marginally but at the price points were paying for - it’s all about the margins.Just over a year, but given they are in Italy, it would be foolish for one’s expectations to be otherwise.
I’m only disappointed because I was hoping they could pull off a pie crust apron. Other than that, same outstanding EB product.
Just unboxed the mahogany jumpers and I have to agree with you. The embossing of the grain isn't as pronounced as I expected based on the sample swatchesI like them, but given we went into it with the moniker “EB Thorpe,” I’m disappointed. Bonafe really shaves the cordovan to make it thinner? Where'd you hear this?EB shaves the shell to make it thinner. It definitely helps with flexibility. The rolls also forms much much quicker and more prominent.
I have not heard this from a definitive source, but experience tells me, that statement is true. Their shell definitely feels thinner, and is definitely more flexible than other brands I have tried.Bonafe really shaves the cordovan to make it thinner? Where'd you hear this?
They are definitely thinner than any of my other shell boots. Therefore they’re not as clunky as some of the other shell boots. It feels softer and more pliable. The downside is its tensile strength is worse so it’s more prone to tear at the seams. I already tear mine at the pull tab.Bonafe really shaves the cordovan to make it thinner? Where'd you hear this?
