This would be my first pair of EB shoes. How does the74945 fit compared to, say, Carmina Rain or Alden Barrie?
I take same size as rain, but I find the instep to be more generous. Hopefully some others can comment as well.

The toe box is pretty average size. Not particularly wide and definitely not narrow. As with most Enzo lasts, the instep is high.

wow, we are really getting quite a group together for this GMTO. I am glad I posted the other pair here, that I am trying to sell.
Hopefully someone is the same size as you and you can move it quickly!

Yeah, I am sure it will sell. I am going forward with these either way now. Hopefully, it will be a surprise Christmas present when they arrive (or earlier)

Decided that the light Bourbon shell isn't for me, as I need the colour to be consistent across the boots.

Is anyone keen on the below makeup - pic for reference:
  • Upper: Smooth Dark Cognac shell
  • Shaft: Hatch grain dark cognac shell
  • Eyelets: 4 + 4
  • Welt: 270 flat
  • Sole: Double Leather with toe plates
  • Last: 74945

I can only comment comparing Carmina’s Oscar and Detroit lasts with 74945 and agree with @jischwar - instep is more generous than both the Carmina lasts.

By the way, if anyone was interested in the Bourbon Balway and is size UK10.5, the pair I am selling are still available. And the price just dropped.
