Thanks, yes I think the chained stitch is a bit too much with 270. Having said that, I bet the aesthetic is different on foot, as opposed to in photos where the contrast stands out more.

That’s what I’ve found.

Although the same comes through when wearing them as well. I attribute it to the 363Mod. It’s just a very chunky last.

These are great. I've been thinking about adding a heavy duty winter boot. Anyone interested in something similar with a 360 welt, commando sole and shearling lining?

I'm looking into options for a boot with commando sole and shearling lining. Probably on the 363Mod. I don't think I want two-tone for this, though. I asked Lorenzo and he is looking into some leather options (probably not going to go for shell). I can keep you updated if you think you might be in.

Please do. I am would prefer something other than cordovan for this make up. I am looking for something lower maintenance for winter weather. I tend to lean towards more rustic leathers like a grain for a heavy boot.

I was considering a burgundy Calway through Carmina's recent GMTO, but I couldn't pull trigger in large part because I think EB has more interesting leather choices and a better interpretation of the Galway.

stephenaf2003's boot got my attention because it reminded me of this StC make up from Leffot.

Hm ... not to my knowledge. This was from one of our GMTO's last fall.

I’d advise you be very diligent in working out your sizing for an EB shearling. I’ve got two EB pair, and I took both in my normal UK8.5. This as it turned out, was an error. That is, EB did not take into account the fact that they added shearling, and that adding shearling will affect the sizing. Therefore taking my normal UK8.5 on those EB shearlings, resulted in an extremely tight fit.
