Hey there!

Had Harry Potter playing in the background during work earlier and I looked up and saw the part where Professor Lupin is packing up and I noticed his shoes as they were being put away. I could't get a good read on what they were, but they're pretty nice. Any ideas on these?

I actually wondered this as well when I saw the movie several months ago. Not that Im a real fan or want to get lupin's shoes, its just an understandable curiosity. Can anybody identify that crest?

I think that it's the New & Lingwood crest, I'll look it up.

*UPDATE*

Yep, that's the N&L crest all right. If you look at the insole photo of this ebay auction you get a better image of it. If I remember correctly N&L have made use of several different makers for their shoes. I don't think they use Edward Green any more.

You're welcome, I only recognized it because N&L had a sale on their shoes the last time I was in London.

Lots of retailers have shoes made for them by specific manufacturers and the retailor will have their own labels put on them. I don't know the retailor or manufacturer but the style looks to be an Oxford full brogue shoe. Nice shoes
