    Hi

I'm interested in buying a pair of oxfords from the Barker Professional range. (http://www.pediwear.co.uk/barker/products/4440.php)

Before I do, I thought I'd just check if any has any experience with this shoe/brand/range?

Is there a better brand I should look in this price range?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

I have been wearing Barkers' for a couple of years now and I have to say that they are one of the most comfortable and hard wearing brands out there. Add to that the quality and the fact that they are made in England and you don't have to look any further.

The other brand in that price bracket would be Loake (good quality shoes) but I prefer barker in terms of design. Good luck with your shoe search and I hope this helps.

P.S. Barker as brand have really big sizes (I'm normally 9,5 but I wear 8,5 in Barker) so bear that in mind.

There's not much difference between Barkers and Loakes except styling ... and that is subjective. Both are decent quality for the cash you pay.

agree with the others here, barkers are definitely decent build quality for the money.

hijacking this thread slightly, can anyone tell me if loakes fit TTS? there seem to be varying reports on the forum. (i'm interested in the burford brogue boot).
    thanks
