Headed to NYC tomorrow and have a limited window to shop between meetings. Anyone know if Nepenthes still has their SS15 sale going on or are things picked clean?

I went like a month ago and it was picked pretty clean already. I wouldn't count on there being much of anything left or even know if they still have sale stuff out (you should probably ask them).

That's what I figured. Maybe not worth trecking across town unless I'm really sold on one of the FW pieces.

if you've got time to kill its probably worth going to visit, especially if you've never been. great selection, more than just EG, lots of fall rolling in and everyone who works there is outrageously nice. when we were there for market in late july they still had a decent selection of sale gear (though a month later who can say whats left)

Plus theres a pretty good ramen spot for lunch right around the corner. on 8th

What size are you? There were still a few things in S/XS when I went this past Wednesday. Didn't buy anything though although I wanted to.

Agreed it's worth the trip even if you don't plan on buying anything. Seeing all the new stuff up close and personal is a cool experience. Plus you can check out Needles and Rough & Tumble.

@lifeinabox – I was there two weeks ago and the SS stuff is still there and on sale. Not many things in M, but a few pieces (the stranger stuff you're into, the more likely you are to find it). And, if your budget allows at all, I like to pick up one piece as a souvenir whenever I'm in NY – even if it's something kind of inane like a pocket square, nice to have a something to remember a trip by.

Has anyone got experience with washing this SS seasons dark olive ripstop fabric. I got the ripstop fatigues and also see some minor fading through wear like described before, but what about machine washing. Will it loose color? Asking becauce i left a kebab mess on them.

I'm going to shed some advice here that your Mother didn't tell you about detergent. Many today have additives, perfumes, softeners and brighteners. The brighteners are the evil additive that you should stay far away from. These are what they call "Bleach Alternatives" and they will strip down dark colors and literally wash out the color. Only use the basic detergents without any of these "Additives".
Additionally, remember to always turn your clothing inside out so that agitations during the wash cycle does not wear away surface texture.

Thank you for the experienced answers! Actually i was aware of brighteners and already planned using milder detergent i use for wool also. Just tried to find out how delicate the dying of the fabric really is. Will see what happens.
