Uh I don't think you should size down. Someone else agreed with my statement that these are the slimmest fitting workshirts. Have to imagine other people have picked up SS11 shirts so feel free to chime in. My chest is around 37" and I can't imagine you not hulking out in a small if your chest is 40
Well I am a 39 chest measurement. I measured some shirts I own from past collections and this is what I found: Work shirt f/w 2009 (m) - 21 Work shirt s/s 2010 (m) - 21 Tab collar s/s 2010 (s) - 20 Tab collar f/w 2011 (s) - 19 Here is my take. In my opinion, these all fit well. My only complaint is the work shirts are a bit large in the shoulder (as you can see in the pics). Also, I was recommended by Angelo at Nepenthes to size down in the tab collar from f/w 2011. It is more fitted but I do not think I am "hulking out" (no pulling in the chest). Here are a few pics. f/w 2010 tab [IMG] f/w 2009 work [IMG]

Has anyone gotten a chance to get a close look at the charcoal/navy stripe baker jacket? Pics are up at Context but I'm not able to see the striping. Photos would be most appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

Some things I learned from trying things on:

I picked up the classic shirt in my normal size L, and it is much less boxy than in previous seasons. I sized up to an XL in the Cruiser Shirt Jacket. I have plenty of workshirts from the past in both M and L, and the L polka dot workshirt is very slim on me with very high arm holes. I usually don't bother with the 19th century BDs, but this season's is much slimmer in body while still being a bit too long.

It was interesting to see some of the SS11 CPOs at the local shop today. I didn't like the snaps with 'Engineered Garments' on each one, and the fabric felt like 60/40?
