Does anyone have any insight on why EG stopped producing Miner shirts? I always preferred them to the work shirt (which I know is a feature piece for the brand).

I just gotta say this season looks amazing - best since SS13 which IMO was the best ever.

I agree, I really liked those. I think Drinkwater's might have a couple chambray ones still kicking around from previous seasons.

ambrose, you're clearly new here...before you take too much heat...quality for EG is FANTASTIC. of course, it's always best to see for yourself - if you can, visit a stockist or order an entry-level piece from s/s

I think they last appeared in SS14. There's no real reason. You could ask the same question about a million other pieces... It's really just to keep things from getting stale.

Quality is very good but :nest: even as a fan I couldn't say it's any better than say Kapital, Blue Blue or orSlow etc.

Can anyone say how to size on aviators?

I wear size S on Daytons, which is really all I have from EG tops, but they fit me perfectly. Tried on a small in the work shirts and those "fit" but felt loose. I wear size 30 on pants if that helps.

    Thanks for any advice!

That being said all those brands have pretty great builds from what I've experienced.

Any Dayton long shirts in Small available anywhere?

entirely out of curiosity, would love to know what brands people think are 'heaps' better than EG - is there anything in the price range or do we have to jump to 'luxury' level fashion houses to find higher quality? is that level of clothing actually better?

often not but the quality discussion is ludicrous anyway i mean even stuff from uniqlo holds up ok so unless you are mountaineering or playing contact sports in your clothes they should be of sufficient quality.

right, but you won't find uniform serge or tropical wool in use at uniqlo - plus single needle stitching, reinforced seems, etc. etc. - the details are obviously lightyears beyond but so is the quality of material/construction, no?

But does any of that matter if all you do is hang around coffee shops or sit for 8 hours a day? It's good for nerding out but in terms of practicality, it's whatever.
