What other shoes do you wear in what sizes? I don't have any experience with Vans, but wear 8 in Viberg 2030, 7.5 in all other Viberg lasts, 8.5 Adidas Stan Smith, 8 in Quoddy Mocs, and 8E AE Strands. I was leaning towards going TTS with 8.5.

Vans in general may run big, but what people in these marketplace and grailed listings are saying is that they run big compared to the same non-EG Vans, like they're tagged wrong.

I'm an 11.5 Converse chucks. 12 Nike. 12 Visvim (except Skagways which is 11). 11.5 Vans. Red Wing 11.5. Don't own any Vibergs or Quoddy so no experience with those.

But I am pretty much a perfect 12 on a Brannock and wear 11.5 in Vans across the board.

^ Really? 11/11.5 D on Brannock here (one foot slightly bigger) and 10.5 in Chucks, 12 in Nikes, 11.5 in Vans.

Just goes to show how unreliable sizing comparisons are I guess.

The EG Slip-on Vans from previous seasons definitely fit big -- The width of the shoe is wider than the regular Vans.

I wear regular Vans all the time (size 9 in slip-ons) and I feel the Vault series OG slip-ons last fits about a .5 size big.

I ordered a M, I'll post the measurements when it comes in.

@Ritchee Please do. Are you typically an M or L?

Am I crazy or are all the shirts sized down this season?

I have the Chambray and Big Plaid work shirts from this season. They both fit roughly the same as my work shirt from FW15, though the Big Plaid is slightly smaller, but nowhere near a size down.

Thoughts on wearing a tie with the rounded collar shirt?

If you're thinking "Why would an EG collab, a drop in the bucket in Vans overall sales, fit differently than normal Vans?" This is your answer. The Vault slips in general run a little big, and Nepenthes has recommended sizing down in the past. This was true for some Syndicate/pro releases as well. It'd be nice if they all fit the same, but they don't.

I can only personally confirm sizing down .5 for the old EG slipons. I have REALLY old Marc jacobs slips and if I'd sized down on those I wouldn't be able to get my foot in.

I feel like the Vans collab is the one thing that EG does purely for profit. Or maybe I just don't get the sneakerhead ethos.

The amount of money made on a limited release collaboration is extremely small. Not just because the quantities are in the hundreds but the margins are being split between the two companies. It's a drop in the bucket compared to what they would make on their apparel. I believe EG does it partially because they don't have a footwear line of their own and because the classics fit within their overall brand aesthetic.

I don't think they make a ton of money, but it has a weird corporate sheen that EG, in general, does not. Vans is owned by VF which owns SF favorites like Rock & Republic and 7 for All Mankind. :)

Plus, the sneakerhead hype...I could be wrong but are they US-made, at least?
