Good to know, thanks. I'm hoping for the blue version too, as well as the white one.

Anyone have any ideas on what pants would be best to pair with the light blue waistcoat? That one would be a challenge I think, but I'm leaning towards light colored chinos like off-white and khaki. I'm not sure if I'll get it though.

Those tapered jeans in khaki are really drawing me in. What would you say they fit like, poly?

the tapered regular jeans fit almost identical to Nom de guerre classic fit jeans (from this season). Higher rise, tapered leg. It's a pretty utilitarian cut, but classic in every aspect. I guess the closest would be a levi's '55 cut, but with a tapered leg, a bit boxy in the body, similar to oni's, but again, with a tapered leg. Great detailing as expected. cotton lined waist band (ie. rag and bone) red taped hem so indigo doesn't transfer to your pants. Again, i would have kopped if i didn't have a pair of nom de guerre's already

Light chinos I'd think would work fine, and if you add a little bit of dark to the top from in the pics below with the jeans it could work out.

It is possible that they choose an unfit fat guy to model their spring and summer line, although I don't think that would make much marketing sense. By fit, perhaps I rather meant normal and proportional by today's standards. Definitely not by industry standards, but in ok shape of good BMI or whatever the standard is... I think the gigantic antifit of all of the pants above the knee and the fact that he compounds this problem by placing his hands in his pockets made for a very unflattering photoshoot on already admittedly unflattering clothes.

They did. I spoke to the man (blanking on his name) who co-owns MAC. He said they specifically chose a larger model to emphasize that their sizing was bigger than before. I normally can't wear their XLs at all (shoulders 1-1.5" too narrow, sleeves 2-4" too short, stomach strangely fine), but he thinks at least a few pieces in the upcoming season will fit me, so . . . yeah.

Interesting. Denim did not cross my mind at all.

That's promising, maybe the Andover suit jackets will fit me this season then.

as if their sizing wasn't vanity enough, at least compared to other 'fashion' brands [IMG]

Didn't seem that way to me. Could be that their sizing is exactly wrong for me though. I wear XL in many fashion brands (to be fair, I wear XXL in others), and can't even pretend to get into an XL in their coats. Seeing supposedly full length coat sleeves come 4 inches past my elbow is ridiculous.

In an email exchange with Angelo from Nepenthes NY, he said that they don't use models for their lookbooks, but just their friends. The regular long-haired dude was "away" and so their other friend stepped in. It doesn't sound like a plan at all, really.

I'm posting the Engineered Garments pieces that we got in today on our thread. Anyone interested can call in a phone order 248.203.6470. The pieces are truly amazing. We've got the blue chambray shirt by the way.
