we've got them in shop here - PM me if you have any questions!
In the lookbook this jacket is listed as Knit Leisure Jacket but is it actually just a Bedford in Dk. Gray Cable Knit?
No, it has a different set of pockets on the front. I wouldn't expect many folks to stock it, though, because like you observed, it's essentially the same as the Bedford.
Yeah I keep bugging NNY to see if they have it but so far not yet. Going to drop by there today and check in.
So wait, there's a Bedford and the leisure jacket in Cable Knit??!
Have to say that the cable knit is pretty amazing in person. Has this almost oily texture to it. Very cool.
actually our cable knit is the leisure jacket (for those looking for some variety). didn't see a bedford in the mix, looks like we missed it! at any rate, we're excited about this one as well. its more jacket than sportcoat - the lapels don't seem to want to fold over without some breaking in, but its a really fun alternative. we had good success with the fair isle last year, so I'm looking forward to getting this thing out to people.
Any more pics of the tweed, when you get a chance? por favor?
What size did you get the Bedford in compared to your sizes in other EG tops/knits, etc.?
I took my usual Medium as I do with my other Bedfords. For tops, I wear M in the 19th Century shirts but size down in the work shirts.
Kopped the Leisure Jacket from NNY in an XS. Fucking psyched about this thing. I really wanted to get something in Cable Knit from this season and this is perfect.
They also fixed the seam on my Navy Moleskin Bedford. Took it right up to the factory and it was done in less than 30 mins. NNY rocks.
Looking for the Navy C-1 Nyco Ripstop vest in Small. The Bureau Belfast used to have it but now its sold out Anyone know where I can get it or has it and is willing to sell?
Pretty sure NNY has it. Email them and ask?
just dropped in at Jack Straw, forgot to take pictures in my excitement of FW15
the cable knit runs small- i normally wear an XS in everything EG (and sometimes that's too big). tried on the small (smallest size he carries) and everything fit perfectly minus wide chest. i think it'll be short in the sleeves and body on everyone else or you'll have to wear it as a sweater and not a jacket
anyone know what stocklist is carrying the tweed bedfords? want the olive one...
How tall are you? If you don't mind me asking...
I'm 5'4". I tried on the Leisure Jacket in S first today and it pretty much fit, with a bit of pucker in the shoulders. The sleeves were a bit long. I also tried on the XS and ended up getting that. The shoulders seemed to fit better, the length is a little shorter (always an issue for me), and the sleeves are a good bit shorter. Hopefully it doesn't end up being too small. Abdul said it didn't look too small on me though so I trust him.
