Does anyone have experience with wool charcoal herringbone pants? I love the look, but I need a pair of pants I can wear in the fall and not just winter.

Also does anyone if the lapels on the moleskin Bedford can stay if I flip them up? I love my s/s navy Bedford, but the fabric isn't thick enough to have the lapels stay up and it's annoying.

@OccultaVexillum – That's fair. I'm 6'0 and they're cropped on me but could definitely have a clean break on someone shorter.

FWIW, I got this season's fatigue in a 32 and, despite my athletic thighs, they're pretty roomy. Not as strongly tapered as SS15 (definitely my favorite EG cut of all time), but also nowhere near as big as the Workaday fatigues. However, if Nakedsnake needs 13.5", very possible that the mainline fatigues won't fit.

@pe3brain – With anything thicker (e.g. the FW fabrics), the Bedford lapels stay up. As for the wool herringbone – it's a substantial fabric. Wearing it in the fall depends on where you are, but I'd have a hard time with them in anything above 65.

@eluther both of those are great to hear! I live in MN, so it's really cold most of the year and only 3-4 months will it get above 65 Fahrenheit. That sold me on both a moleskin Bedford and the wool fatigues for my first foray into F/W EG.

    Where is MN are you?

Black Blue is a very cool shop in the twin cities area that stocks EG. Great little Thai place next door as well

Saint Cloud, so about an hour and a half from Black Blue. I'm planning on heading up there in a couple weeks to go check the fatigues and the moleskin Bedford in person.

Aw CRAP! I was just in Minneapolis the past couple days and wanted to check somewhere out, but I didn't think anywhere in the Twin Cities stocked EG.

Just received my olive outback fatigues. Fabric is quite thin for a f/w pant. Otherwise slightly slimmer than s/s

Appreciate all the feedback guys. I think with my small waist and big thighs, I'll start with Workadays in reverse sateen and see how it goes. I'm convinced mainline is going to be too narrow for me. I would need at the bare minimum at 13" thigh.

    Styling.

I wonder if the flight pants are sized down here, they seem to have a bit slimmer of a profile than other pictures I have seen of them.

i'm a 18-18.5" chest. most of the EG shirts in XS measure in around 19-19.5"
do you find that they shrink down at all with washing?

i have a single EG madras shirt in XS that measures at 18" but can't remember if it shrunk to that or came at that size...
