I have a question about the sizing of this season's Field Parka. I usually wear M in the EG Field Parka, but Oi Polloi has a 38" chest size, which seems very slim. I can't try it on around where I live, so maybe you guys could tell me whether this season's one fits especially slim? I have a 39" chest and would like to be able to layer with a shirt and/or sweater. Thanks!

Just picked up a South 2 West 8 field bag for my wife's birthday. Nice price -- $140 -- and made in USA. Plus it's that groovy mustardy color. The leather trim is really thick -- the fabric is canvas, rather than nailhead or what we would think of as duck. All the S2W8 bags look to be good buys. I'd love to see a full-size duffle like the ones LLBean used to sell (and which I have squirrelled away 2)

I think medium should be alright. I'm a 38" chest and I got one in medium. It's slim fitting in comparison to previous seasons' parkas, which were too big on me. It's just right with shirt + sweater layering and I'm using the waist drawstring to slim it down a bit too.

I'm a 40" and went for the large and based on how it fits me i would say that the medium will be good for you. The large will be too big

chrisf, rookieleague, Thank you! I will go for M then. But I'm having a hard time deciding between Olive and Khaki. I like a classic olive Parka, but on the other hand, the Khaki one is especually nice with the corduroy details (which I think the Olive one doesn't have)...

    Any ideas?

The olive one has brown corduroy. Love the olive, brown corduroy and grey herringbone combo.
