Just purchased an EG firemans turnout coat and will say that Im extremely pleased with it. Not only is the fit superior (you can feel the handmade quality each and every time you put it on) but its really warm without crossing over into wearing too bulky or boxy.

Every inch of the piece oozes with quality and bad-ass-ness. Amazing design.

cheers

Not like it needs to be said again, but EG is tip top; far, far superior to chain-store nonsense, at once highly unique and understated, and their prices are fantastic (at least for outerwear - I think their shirts are a bit too expensive).

Where'd you cop?

Edit: Oops; didn't notice the NYC.

Grabbed it at odin on lafayette. Nice selection too; 10-20 different EG coats/shirts.

I agree. I wont pay 200 + for a shirt. coats and shoes yes, shirts negative.

Nice.

But still too high for me for a shirt -- something I'll wear once a week.

yeah, but once a week over five years... (and i do expect the eg shirt to hold up and look all right-----i mean its a 19c design)

that's 50 cent per use

about the price of a razor blade

There's the rakuten pics, I'm interested in seeing firsthand pics though.

Did you notice if they happened to have a black/charcoal short monty duffel in medium? I'm not sure if I want to spend that much on a coat but oh, how I love that coat.

Hey, has anyone tried on the EG Trench from this season? I saw it on the rack today and very nearly abused my credit card, but after looking at the pics online, it didn't look so hot. So to sway my conflicted feelings one way or the other, I'm curious as to what you guys thought of it.
