Enamel buttons on a blue blazer

First of all, this is a cross-post from Classic Menswear, posting here now bc I think this is the correct forum. Sorry! First time poster here.

Anyway: I lost a button on my blazer recently and thought I'd take the opportunity to replace the brass buttons with something more to my liking. I liked the idea of enamel buttons in a metal case and left my local button shop with a set of these:
LroI3aht2ikqETKuzrMq8N00Dq5VbbzX9IXU8UKdbUEZrd1WiVVAD8EGZbqsKLw-28n0feTK0KO12IzzcWE9A7moUDsYmEKUvO7C5NYQ_D9f-VKRn1h0mVo6kd0xdkHZCecEs75_63jhflwoXl0w-Cs75l5MzaH_bod5X8F4smd8K7j09J3G34NMaELWHqGActqyqwS8Tj0dC5HUCLjpRFZ6fDoC0YL3qfuHiYzI93ebrEMS3ahF9MyvmniVCL60cvlWt0rPx7VjAG1sQX94oUFJP-OyROfGE-WPPhbTxk5riEcmdbmjGMRRC8sjJPLNWUV_bkz8AgXFyivv4tD3ltY9p1lDw1YmKwKFV0uSm6BL_V1rD0_XsYbWf3vgJgJJ8lc--9cbn7DNxZBPleRU-tChRloJjFV_O-bUBBX8TCfWtlDonXNpJtnO2NgwhzwxEDn_V6Kevg78zxhRMwUqxOS8EAc7-_cuMvFzyHEv76bUIlHKKehj9Tr7Vqt7CF3I6wV5V6HpN8iYiH1QcZFto1AQNjWA36spnkSeuRUL8KhYCFjvjoFuxF0YKtDo8cTpRdwDC-CSgT2PtpE5JS8edwPHvbBDRLY8qwKwiocVRCji08D0MbrrumbR3G-Q_9zTkbuwoYmQcmIK9oHbSScJe4L9kw=w514-h685-no

I loved them in the store but they looked a little less pink to me under their lighting, and seeing them now I'm worried about them clashing with certain colors and generally being overly dandyish. Should I go back and exchange them for something similar in a more neutral color, such as green?

What are people's favorite colors for enamel blazer buttons?

Thanks

Your picture doesn’t show on my screen. Can you fix that?

I like brass buttons on a navy blazer, but that’s just me.

Not a fan of those buttons at all. If you are intent on enamel buttons, navy or black. Alternatives would be pewter or antique brass-colored buttons, mother of pearl (white or smoked), or dark brown horn.

The idea was to go for something non-traditional but interesting, but in the end I agree the pink do not work. I already went back and exchanged them for a midnight blue enamel:

They tried to pitch me on a beautiful blue mother of pearl button, but I thought that would have made the garment look like a suit jacket, and not a blazer.

Yeah, I can see this one. Those are really pretty. I don’t think I’ve ever seen buttons like that. Will they contrast with the jacket colour?

Thanks. They don't contrast as much as the brass obviously (or the pink, ha) so they definitely take the jacket in a different direction, but I think they still pop. They can look black or deep blue depending on the light, whereas the jacket is a classic navy. I would have loved to find something that was still blue but with a bit of green in it, for more contrast and a slightly metallic color, but these were very striking to me. Here's a pic with the jacket for reference (apologies for the lint):

That looks distinctive. Go for it. Also, I think the patch-flap pockets will keep it from looking like a suit jacket.
