Dear Gentlemen,
This pair of Elastic Instep is made for a client who is a true enthusiast in everything he is doing. He is remarkable aware of all the options involved in Bespoke Shoemaking and therefore it is very exciting working for him. He certainly knows the meaning and purpose of supporting the shape of the shoes with a thoroughly made shoe-tree. This pair is made in light Mahogany, the shoes is made of Grinded Waxed Calf, sole is a 1/4" inch, with toe-plates, rubber top lift at heel, bevelled waist. To see more of the same kind, please go to the website. Hope you enjoy!

Mr Myhre, that is indeed a beautiful shoe !

I became addicted to this side-gusseted style on my first visit to GJ Cleverley ; infact, I am as I write wearing a pair of the maestro's side-gusseted shoes in brown reverse-calf . I know that I ought not, as an Italian, to be wearing reverse-calf in Summer, but what the heck ! It's cold today and, well, I just love them . I particularly enjoy wearing this style with 'old-world' double-breasted flannel suits (with and without a vest) .

The 'sloping' toe is a particularly attractive - and not often seen - feature.

Complimenti !

I think, I have seen pictures of you and your shoes in (the Japanese magazine) LAST vol.3

That's the style of shoe I always imagine Bond wearing when I read the novels.

Thought about it for a sec and remembered that "Bond abhorred shoe-laces" and that he almost always wore "black casuals" -- you may be on to something.

I would think something like a regular loafer may not offer support if he were doing something demanding
