The blue model is an old michelangelo model that is either half canvases or fused - definitely not full canvassed or anything I ever ran so ai have no idea what that is.

I tried to embrace the fuller cut but I like a more narrow leg opening.
But definitely love the higher rise and it’s very comfortable.
It now kinda feels like my Stoffa MTM Trousers.

I think that it has something to do with trying to dress up a pant that is not meant to be dressed up. It was designed to be the perfect “off-duty” pant. The cut, fabric and utilitarian details lend themselves to more casual footwear like sneakers, wallabees, rugged boots, etc. I think wearing them (even with the taper) with sleeker hard bottoms, a dress belt, and a pressed shirt will likely be less successful than something like a white tee, cashmere sweater and beat up pair of chunky loafers.

I am terrible at pictures, but aside from a hot wash and dry I left mine alone, and usually wear them in a sort of beach-y, or a western-y way (usually with a way-too-worn out belt and worn out shoes)

I do understand that its a very casual pant meant to be worn as is with sneakers and might be doing it wrong.
I am just used to wearing tapered casual pants of Isaia, Rota Sport etc and just personally prefer a more tapered look.

well, then I guess you must taper your Rota too then, doesn't standard Rota from NMWA like 8.25in leg opening?

Yes, Rota RTW from NMWA i do taper and Rota from Michael Jondral already comes tapered. Also, all Isaia Pants comes tapered too and i prefer a 7.25 - 7.5 inch Leg opening.
