Lol. It was at basically bargain bin prices at Saks.

You should scour ebay, grailed and other 2nd hand sources if you want NWT at that price.

Otherwise, full retail it is. I don't own it, but it's probably worth it. There's pics of others wearing it waaaayyy back in the thread.

This was a collection inspired by Jean-Michel Basquiat who had an eclectic style while working -- thus often getting paint on his clothes.

My life is nothing like Basquiat's -- I won't be up at midnight throwing paint on a canvas nor will I be schmoozing with Warhol -- but, because putting on clothes in the morning allows me to project things and ideas I find fun and interesting to the world, I totally would be down with wearing an item of clothing, pre-distressed as such, because it references a lifestyle that I find cool.

Could I do this myself?

No. I don't know where I'd find a sweater modeled like an M-65 with the collar cut off.
