    Are the Tenero lapels narrower than the Tipo lapels? The gorge placement about the same?

    So many Tenero options, fewer Tipo options these days. Might have to branch out.

    Adding a few fit pictures, I end up buying none as the wife correctly point out I already have too many suits/sportscoat... (everything is EU 46R or S, one is EU48, i.e. wrong size, though guess can still give people some idea). These are taken from Bloomingdales a while back so I would imagine most are gone now.

    edit: also most of the vents are not open, so might seems odd on the bottom...

    I'm not the expert but basically I think that Tenero has the same shoulder as Ciro/NMWA models and the same lapel/gorge as Tipo

    I love the Tenero navy hopsack I got. If Bloomie's carried the Tenero over the Tipo, my lady would've kicked me out a while ago and I'd be couch surfing at @Murlsquirl's.

    I did end up opening up the jacket a bit; grateful that the dark fabric and chunky texture obscure the original stitching lines, as a few people said they would.

    @gdl203

    I was supposed to be in NYC last week and would've stopped by for some Eidos MTO goodness (more hemp hopsack jackets), but will have to come by in November instead.

    The canvas seems to go up to the shoulder. Can folks with Tenero confirm?

    Alas, my shoulder is a bit bumpy which is (aside from length) the main issue for my trying the Tenero. The unlined, slightly trimmer configuration relative to the Tipo appeals to me.

    @gdl203

    When you say the shoulder is the same as in the NMWA, do you mean the NMWA has no shoulder padding?

    Not Greg, but there's no padding...just canvas.

    Haha the statement about Bloomies carrying the Tenero instead of the Tipo is all too true. Or if they carried the Ciro for that matter....

    Correct. The shoulder is only structured by the canvas and chest piece going up beyond the shoulder line. No padding there.

    This beauty just arrived. First linen suit + first Tenero suit. So light and comfortable! That transparency...

    Can anyone comment on the Lavato in comparison with say Boglioli or Lardini with the unconstructed build (or lack there of rather) of the jacket. Is comfort and feel essentially the same or is there something special with the Lavato in comparison to other unconstructed jackets? This to anyone who has actually worn one or who owns one.

    It's pretty much your standard soft jacket. I don't have my jacket in front of me but it seems similar (as far as length and lapel size is concerned) to my Tenero, but without the guts. That cashmere/poly is an interesting fabrication - it's a lot lighter than I would have expected.
